Overclocking P4 2,8 with TwinMos ram ?

Hello !

On first had some Infineon CL3 RAM (1024MB) in my computer, could tweak some points up, up to 3,16 GHz.
Actually buyed TwinMos CL2 RAM 1024MB and now I cant overclock about 2,89 GHz. (or least 2,90).

My System :
Asus P4P800 Deluxe - (Revision of Bios is 1015.002)
Intel P4 2,8 Ghz HT better the 865 Chipset
2x 512 MB TwinMos Twister CL2, 400 - (Timings are : CL2, 3, 3, Burst Lenght 8, Refresh Rate 15ns, Idle Timer 0)
Windows 2000 SP4

The processor is actually locked at level 14 - a guide to unlock would be realy

Hope that some guys here have knowledge how to overclock with the TwinMos ram.

Also Im not realy familiar about the voltages of cpu and ram, actualyl the cpu gets 1,53x Volt and the ram get "Auto" Controlled power.

First thread, hope you get my unfamous english readable

Greats Bloody

i'm guessing it's your ram, did u try relaxing the timing on the ram? and try 2.5?

Tried with CL 2,5 and get the cpu up to 2,92 Ghz - all above woudn't start the overall system.
All about 2,85 and the ram causing hang ups at windows start.
Ever running at 400 ram clock ratio.

After 5 interrupted windows start attempts with oc I stopped and now be happy the ram is still alive ^^
Got many malfuntions like corrupted ntkrnl.exe loads, graphic failures or simple hang ups (at cl 2,5).

Well the ram dont seems to be realy oc friendly - or I just wanted to much

Donator
Unless thats a ES you cant change the multi, and you would need to have the best equipment out there to unlock it. (Something that could rearage the die on a .13 micron level)

Actually the sys runs fine @ 3106 Mhz - +300.
The ram clock is 320 Mhz @ 2,3,2,5,8 in timings.

I think I could get a higher clocking speed, about 3200+- but the cpu fan (boxed one) has not enough power.
Temparature of the mobo is 77° - 95°f and cpu about 82° to 116°f.

A little bit of a tangent, but does anyone know of a reputable seller of TwinMOS in the US?
