Okay, so I was bored just now and thought "gee, I wonder if my vid card can hit 600mhz memory clockrate?"
I'm using a Visiontek Xtasy 6964 Geforce3 Ti500, and the stock clock is 240/500. I've had it running the last month at 250/535 no problem, and just downloaded the 29.42 drivers. Totally aircooled system, 25C ambient: Started overclocking gradually using Game 2 in 3dmark for a snow detector test...got to 260 core (okay, but not that high) and kept pushing the memory...580mhz stable...590mhz stable...600mhz stable...so I almost wet myself...600mhz with 3.8ns TSOP ddr-sdram? whee! Then I ran Game 4 to see if I could finally break 60fps average (highest I've gotten w/ my p4 at 1.908 is 49.8)...well, shiat, I almost...ALMOST hit 100 fps in the scene where the camera pans over the lake...and it was to the part right at the end where it fades to white and.......hang. My system froze, no CTRL-ALT-DEL, no ALT-TAB, no ALT-F4. Turned PSU on and off, rebooted, nothing damaged, reclocked to 250/535....so close...I was so close to an over 60fps Game4 score on my aging machine.......sigh. I should be able to hold out until the NV30 is only 150 bucks...hehe I'm interested, anyone have any highs for core/memory clocks on a ti500? post em |

Had same card and it peaked at about 560 in mine. Got artifacts any higher.
