Spare Parts
Just wondering. I have a fried ASUS K8V Motherboard, a Cooked GeForceFX5900 128, and a Toasted GeForceFX5600 128 video card sitting here. It's really cookin here at my house. lol.
I have replaced them but this stuff is damn near new. Are there any pieces or components of those I could remove and add to my pc? There must be something I can do with it.

RMA them or sell them on eBay.
And I don't mean scam anyone. You'll be surprised how much money people will fork out for broken stuff. |

I suppose I could do either. That's not very exciting though. I guess I probably could though. I do have my my eye on some high performance raid controllers and faster hard drives. If I was to post them on eBay should I post them Separately or together.

Seperately, without a doubt. Remember to mention that they are broken.
I set up a two drive array (Hitacha SATA drives) recently and it's awesome.

the ram should be good on both cards. The 5600 I fried with arctic silver like 6 months ago and when cleaning it up I knocked a couple of resistors off of it. It still will show graphics but there are funny lines on it. The 5900 I also knocked a couple of resistors off of when I was cleaning. I'm such a chooch!!!!!!! I have soddered new resistors on the 5900 off of the 5600 trying to repair it.
They are both 128's. Both have been overclocked way beyond spec. The 5900 more than the 5600. And the 5900 was watercooled and was in the case at the same time as my K8V Mobo. That motherboard rusted due to condensation in a couple of spots. The 5900 could have been a bit moist to. Well, chances are if the mobo was it was. It did not break due to condensation though .
