Zalman ZM80C-HP & Asus9800XT???

Hi,

I'm thinking to buy the Zalman ZM80C-HP w/ the fan on my Asus9800XT... The max overclock I can get with it without seeing any artifacts is 432/398... I'm wondering if the Zalman ZM80C-HP would help to overclock a little more.

Do you think it can fit on my Asus. And which Ramsink should I buy?

Thanks

If the asus xt follows the stock ati layout (with the vivo/monoitoring excepted) then it should fit fine check this out......(its a 1.1meg jpeg)

and then this.....

Zalman type linky

Apart from the custom badge they are the same beast.

As for the ram sinks, youl probably have to cut some down depending on the height of the heatsinks above the pcb, with the 80mm fan fitted (or even a delta ...) if you fit the ramsinks to suit the airflow I reckon it'll give much better cooling than stock so if you've got a good core you'll probably get better clocks.

I'm currrently 452.25/378 with a stock cooler, but I don't reckon, judging by reviews, that hese cards are huge clockers. They are after all pushed as far as the R350'll go and be a reliable consumer product.

oops that'll be all my warranties voided then
