3D Mark05 is now to be included guys so when you get your scores in this week, you will need to run 1 extra benchmark.

Hey guys, decided to go another way with my OCing by actually pushing the HTT bus and it seems to have helped quite a bit, especially in '01.

Well seeing how my rig is now dead, I guess I should step down as AMD super modified winner. It will be a couple of weeks or more till I either get my chip back from AMD or - gulp - buy a new one. Thanks for all the support. SIK.

Dipstik and El Kapitano seem to be the next to battle it out. Ill be watching.

Sorry to hear you had to rma SIK but the high scores stand until they are broken. It would not be fair if they didn't, plus it would take all the fun out of it But AMD is quick with the rma's so you should be back soon

No need to worry SIK, your scores do indeed stand as no-one has beaten you (or even challenged for that matter).

Watch this space as well guys - major changes happening to the competition over the next few weeks.

Paypal me 2 grand and I might let you know what they are.

Did someone mention my pseudonym?

Nah SIK I'm well out of it at the moment. Especially against an FX53.

HOWEVER - I do have a wad burning a hole at the mo' so watch this space.

AND - my X800XT wont go further than 540/570.

Awww Dipstick, that's a sweet overclock you got there, well done man.

To be honest in everyday stuff and gaming I do not see a difference at all. Of course it is running almost 100MHz slower and lacks the 1MB L2 of the FX but it only really shows in benches. Amazing enough the memory benches edge out my FX even though it was running faster cpu and memory-wise(maybe an improved controller?). Overall a great buy for under $200 and all seem to OC to 2.4GHz with ease. That and the fact that it runs extremely cool even OCed like this is a good reason to save the money and get one of these instead. The FX is not worth the price difference at all!

Edit- I just noticed that I'm running it at 1.45v + 10% which I think gives out 1.55v. I tried 1.55v + 10% and it did nothing for my OC. Must be the cpus limit regardless of voltage or something else holding it back

Are we gonna have any rule changes once SLI/ dual cards come out, seems to be a new, higher level that we can add/judge, or will we just add those to super modified, etc.

Well, I may be new, but I think I'm the Intel Stock Winner, Sorry Rasta.

The only issue is that I used the 4.11 Drivers that are teh KOTOR hotfix, and they're not WHQL. I can rebench later, if needed.

Shuttle SB83G5
P4 550 (3.6GHz Prescott, HT enabled)
1 GB Geil PC3200
Asus X800XT (PCIe), 256MB
2x Western Digital 74GB Raptor drives in RAID0

7714.33 is the total

3dmark05 - 5399
3dmark03 - 12207
PCmark04 - 5537

one thing that WASNT mentioned in the rules which should have been

the links to futuremarks orb system should be available and active, else its not a valid entry.

personally i find this a bit unfair, especially if your scores look legit, should be reasonably easy to tell if somebody was cheating by the fact their scores are blatantly too high for their system

This was always the case - in fact I see by the admin logs that Dom removed quite a few posts from the entry thread due to the fact no compare links where given, I think Dom just left it off the front page post, appended.

Oops, sorry. I didn't notice there was a limit for the categories.

Does the Pro Stock Category allow for OC'ing? I've got a 3dmark05 score sitting at 5595... But I guess I could save that until the 7th.
