Just wondering why we dont have one "ultimate" avatar for the one who has highest overall, stop differentiatin between processors @ the high end IMO. I mean, if you do that, why not have a top ATI and a top Nvidia avatar...

Are you asking a question?? Or just making a suggestion?

By having AMD and Intel separated it allows more people to have a chance at having an avatar. Though your suggestion? on having a top ATI and nVidia avatar does sound pretty good, since the new cards are released.....but time will have to be given for them to reach the stores in force. If you are suggesting this.....then what benchmark programs would you like to see used for this? The competition threads are solely for the DH members......if any of you have an idea.......a good idea would be to make a thread about it and see what kind of feed back you get on it

If enough people are wanting something specific.......then it will be taken into consideration, with the utmost attention given in a timely manner.

If you decide to do this.....please PM me with your idea and a link to any thread that you may have started.

Ive done my latest benchmarks ...but I don't think it's fair to post them, mind you I am still running stock cooling and no volt maods or anything, I think there should be an over all avatar for the whole competition.

I have now official retired from the overclocking contest, and i have removed the avatar...
It doesn't feel right having it since i don't have the hardware anymore....

Not really sure how I got there with a P4B at 152 MHz FSB. Obviously it was the oc I can get with the 9800Pro. Haven't even pushed that to the point of artifacting yet.

Just glad someone with more than seven posts has it now.

Surely someone with a P4C will dethrone me soon enough.

I'll enjoy it while it lasts.

Well the cool thing about the class that you entered.....is the limits of it

MAX OC of 3.2......and in order for you to be taken out.....2 of your 3 scores as well as the over all average have to be beaten!! It wont be easy to do......Intel Stock class is a "tweaker's paradise"

Humbled by a mobile Athlon with an X800XT...WOW. (checks figures)..

That's a hell of a PCMark03 score. Might be the end of my participation in this comp cos my rig will not push any further without total OS corruption.

I think I'll be waiting for socket 939 and PCIe motherboards before I upgrade again.

(Although I do currently have Â£600 burning a hole in my leg and I'm in the enviable position of not paying VAT on my purchases - which is nice.

)
