ok so that is what it looks like if you over clock too much? Lol i have onyl seen that happen to 1 other card and that was an intel network card ... the chip was cracked and really ugly.

That looks burned by a lighter or something..Just the shape of it and stuff - I just toasted a sound card here (sparks, smoke, and fire!) a few days ago and surely it didn't roast like that..

I tend to agree by looking at the position and shape of the burn.

it is an odd shaped burn, but it looks to deep and irregular for a lighter...

...my guess is an exploded capacitor/chip...although I don't really see any
