There might be an o/c problem with the Hard drive not keeping up with the system i doubt that though. But it might that the mobo is losng the information do to stress or it might not be giving the data right.

Your lucky
When i tried to OC my ram and restarted i got this nice message saying"config.sys missing or corrupted". BTW it was on my win2k that also held the boot for winXp. So after running a sys restore on win2k (bad idea since it was upgraded to sp3) i had to do the same to WinXP . Now im stuck with 2 OSs that need to be reinstalled. So my point is: Maybe its your ram that causing the problem ?? |

the only thing i can think of would be agian that the mobo cant code/decode/whatever the hell the mobo does with the data from HDD quick enough the data is prolly going throuh the HDD to the mobo fine but when the mobo breaks it up and transmits the data to the RAM and the CPU and other parts of the system the data gets lost because of the strain of o/cing and your components not keeping up. ?me must breathe now!!!

1.1 is only the multiplier setting it supports upto...that won't be a problem.
But, it's your harddrive and/or ATA100 controller, there's a certain point on my system where once I go past a certain FSB (multipliers for AGP and PCI are locked...which is why I am thinking of buying an Abit BG7) I start getting corrupt files. For instance, I can run my 133mhz DDR ram at 118Mhz along with my 118mhz FSB (1:1 ratio) but get corruption. Then I move down to 108Mhz FSB and run my ram at 144Mhz completely fine. My advice, cool it with the OC. I had to reformat my C: drive once because I tried benching with my 1.7 at 2.0 on a 118FSB, my ram at 157Mhz and my geforce ti500 at 265/580...wasn't that fun having my PC reboot in the middle of game 2 low detail...only to boot up to "a million vital system files were corrupted or destroyed..." on a black screen...yay! Be careful! hehe |

A lot of people forget that the IDE controller are, essentially IDE devices, and as such, have certain tolerences when it comes to inflated FSBs.
