A newbie Overclocking his display cards (Sorting, dont reply)

thanks for the info gemini. Imna try that out. I can't right now though cuz it's too hot (summer and no A/C at my house

). Imna try and do some benchmarks tonight and see how they go. Imna try all different kinds of settings.

yeah I got it..and it failed. Almost ruined the poor card :'( I dunno what the problem was. Fortunatly I got it all fixed now.

lmao no i dont have a digicam but I'll work on it. At the very least, I'll have my friend take one with the camera phone. Unfortunatly its not recognizable with the HSF mod.

well I should clarify...it worked! but the bios wasnt compatible because the monitors wouldnt come out of sleep mode and the computer wouldnt post properly(thats cause its set to halt on all errors.

yeah well the CPU makes it but the RAM doesnt anymore. my fault...I made a mistake on the ramsinks and one of them is touching against the HSF...so it cant OC so well anymore(at least tahts what i figure)

oh no the ram is not a problem...see before I did the mod to the card everything was great...then I put some ramsinks on and it wouldnt OC quite as well. I couldnt figure it out since logically you'd think that it would make ALITTLE difference, neh? Well I finally realized the problem...one of the ramsinks on one ramchip is touching up against the heatsink to the GPU. the heatsink to the GPU gets very very hot as you might guess...so that is the only thing that I can figure would cause it. I'm gunna try something out later to get them seperated, but so far its no go.

i still haven't been able to do any more good benches since i got my 12,869 score. It's been way too hot lately. I need me a VGA silencer

, cuz right now my card is running about 65C at stock speeds. I can get good scores when my card is around 55C-58C idle temps.
