That's a sure sign that it's a bad overclock.

Just don't overclock it, put it back to it's original settings.

1st set your pc back to default settings in the bios.
as for the symptoms you describe it could be a that you have no pci/agp lock or it isn't activated, tho this is a wild guess since you don't give a lot of information. to better understand you have to give us more details like: -pc specs -what exactly did you did in terms of overclocking -what's the exact windows error you got then one quick tip for now, try system restore and restore to a previous date before you began to experiment. find it in : start > all pograms > accessories > system restore.

sorry m8, don't know if english if your native language but you talk a bit confusing to me, do you mean you have it fixed now by saying: its coming on and working so i am sure everyhting all right?
or you mean your pc is ok now but windows is still only booting safe mode and giving errors. ?

Ok, can you tell me the error you received, if you tell me that i might be able to tell if its hardware or software based, it's probably software which is fixable so for now try to relax. please be as clear as possible and list the hardware and config you have in your pc

You sure you did overclock the CPU alone or maybe the PCI/AGP bus
when over clocking the PCI bus, it is possible to get write errors, check your hard drive for errors and if it can't check for the errors, could mean your system-files are damaged, then simplest solution would be to reinstall windows. |

so from the sound of it you only have windows errors and still can boot and hardware looks fine. If so it's probably easy fixed with a windows reinstall idd, one of the most common errors when overclocking are windows missing boot files, ntloader and ntoskrn. these are fixed by a reinstall or a repair which is an option during windows setup when setup detects you present install, you can then choose to repair or install a fresh copy.

yes, if it's one of the system errors as hawk and i described it's fixed with a simple reinstall.
to reassure you a bit, i personnaly never had one thing "broken" by overclocking and i did have several times when i was i the same situation you appear to be and fixed it every time. 5% overclock ussually isn't enough to kill hardware, 5% on htt means fsb 210 and i've never seen hardware(comparable to your specs) that couldn't recover from that. gotta go now, 01.45 hour cet here, so i need some sleep

he did PM me as well , and i told him exactly the same but anyhow, that's one of the reasons i'm here, you'll learn somethings from others and you give some back, life isn't a one way street imo
