How Hot is too Hot?????

P-4 Northwood at a stock 3.0GHz is 36C-38C.3.3GHz is 39C-42C.3.6GHz is 43-50.Is 43C-50C too hot???????

As long as it doesn't break 60C it should be a-ok.

What a dummy I am!!!I was just reading the box my case came in and I found out there is a dial to adjust the 2 front fans in my case.I took off the case front to see where the dial was set at and found out the 2 front case fans werent even hooked up!Needless to say she's running about 3 degrees cooler now....DUH!...Live & Learn.

idle should stay under 50 and load under 60

80C is the early stages of the damage threshold... stay under that and you're safe.

At 3.6GHz it's running at a max of 54C.Thats w/ FarCry running.OK?????I also have the Thermalright XP120 ready to install as soon as the 120MM fan gets here from New Egg.That should really keep me safe,correct?
