Hmmmmm what esle can i do?

Hi guys

Spec of system:

AMD XP3000+ unlocked
Kingston HyperX 512DDr 400Mhz
Abit NF7-s v2.0
Sapphire Atlantis 9700 Pro
300gig HD
Pioneer DVR-106
Lite-On 52x32x52
intel Pro 10/100 network card.

I have been trying to overclock my system and the best i can get is
2300 (11.5@200) if i go to (12@200) takes it to 2400 but becomes unstable.

Is there any other way to get some more out of it i have tryed putting the mem to tubro in the Bios but is just restarts, not realy asred about the mem as i'm getting better ram soon. just want to get more out of my CPU as its unlocked.

Thanks for any help guys

definitely make sure you have a good heatsink/fan, lap your heatsink if necessary and apply good thermal grease like arctic silver 3,5 or ceramique

You know, lapping hasnt really seemed to make much of a difference for me and my friends. Imean it makes alittle bit of difference, but only if its a good heatsink already AND you have high temps. If you're temps are low like mine, it never really made a diff(35C under load).

What you really need is that SLK heatsink. I mean SHEESH I run that thing without a fan when i first got it. Its perfect for passive cooling(NO OCing!) and with even a weak fan its perfect.

get the SLK man...its awessommmeeeeeee.

plus it looks like a work of art!

lapping my hs/f on my r9800p increased my OC... and i did the same w/ my proc hs and it dropped about 3-5 C on both idle and load... to me every degree counts but thats my opinion. The cooler it runs the better off i am in OC'ing

Instead of just increasing your mutliplier raise your FSB as well. Drop your mutliplier 11 for 2.2 then raise your FSB. If it starts to get unstable raise your ram voltage or loosen up the timings o nyour ram, but don't set your ram timings to anything anything super high like 3-4-4-8 as that will just slow everything down. Try for example 2.5-3-3-7 or something like that if it's unstable. If you also don't mind bios flashing check out TicTac's latest NF7 Bios.

should add another Kingston HyperX 512DDr 400Mhz to make it dual.
It'll help boost.
