yeah those numbers do sound off. bc its a non pro i have no idea if u can flash a bios that overclocks it or not(non pro 9000 lock the clock in the bios so no overclocking unless someone found a workaround and i havent heard about it yet) but if ur card is indeed running below spec u should qualify for an rma for one running the correct speed.

There is a workaround. go here http://www.titan.spaceports.com/~fax/radeon9000.htm and download hoger and PowerStrip. Even though it says other rograms I could only get hoger combined with powerstrp to work. But anyway I did SUCESSFULLY overclock my Radeon 9000 NON-Pro. And it does work. I saw real increases in 3dmark. I ran the test several times before I overclocked and always got the exact same result. Then tried overclocking without hoger no change. Then ith hoger and it worked. Let us know how yours works with this fantastic proggy. AREA_51

I have a Tyan Tachyon G9000 Pro. I picked it up for $80. I have it currently clocked at 317/317. The card is stock. but I don't seem to get good 3DMarks

have u tried seeing if your 3dmarks increase if u clock the gpu on the card lower? in the process of using mine ive found that if the gpu starts getting hot it gets much worse scores. example is mines at 300 gpu/320 mem if i push the gpu to 305 my framerates in the game 1 low detail test gets cut drastically along with my overall score. im figuring its either a lack of cooling or a lack of gpu voltage thats causing the gpu to start making errors and causing the problems.

I will try lowering it to 300 and see what it does. I tried OC'n my computer and I don't think my mobo supports multiplier adjustments. Well I will go test it out. Thanks

i wouldnt worry about multiplier adjustments with a duron 900. you would get the biggest benifit from upping the fsb and gaining memory bandwidth along with cpu speed and the duron will most likely max out before your memory does. bc of the durons small l2cache , a higher fsb should be used where possible to help lower the latency on cache misses and main memory access.

the only FSB my board offers other than 100 is 133.....and I tried it.....the duron fails to load the bios.....

And at the same time im worried to crash the card if I try to overclock it. I dont know if I want to risk it. There is nothing more than a heatsink. No Fan or something like that. Or should I give it a try?
