benefit to cooling Northbridge

I got the Thermalright NB-1c cooler for my northbridge a few days ago. I've already installed it. Does anybody know what having a cooler northbridge really does? I've heard it helps out a little bit in overclocking, but is this true?

Even if it isn't true, it's an upgrade from the cheesy ABIT NB fan controller .

A "extra-cool" northbridge could help with heavier overclocking using a high FSB/Memory bus since the memory controller is located inside, for non-Atlon64 systems that is. But in more normal operations one only needs to keep it from overheating, wich is why a passive/fanless northbridge cooler is fine in most situations.
