Nice Steve - gotta love them wide open spaces inside that case too!

And Lowfat - I wonder if a V10 cooler will fit in mine after seeing it in yours - so cool... You do make the cleanest looking setups, you ought to trademark that somehow!

Re: Offical Show Your Rig Off

So, it's not new and high tech, certainly not built for games, but anyways here's that AMD 2800+ barton I put together for recording in my basement where I can get LOUD. (you can even see part of my psychedelic doorwall...... trippy man!)

Audigy platnum w/the "drive" I/O and a Live! connected via SPDIF. I just installed the sata RAID setup for my recording space 320GB. A GeForce 5600 for the dual monitor support and two LCD monitors. 90% of this is surplus, scrap (repaired) and low $$$ ebay stuff. The 1Gig of ram, 80 gig boot drive, Audigy setup, and black case I had.

Basicly it's an 8 track hard drive recorder.....

Can you tell me what you think about it? Thermal performance, noise, room etc. Because I'm really contemplating about buying one, to replace my ol' an' ugly antec: Antec - PlusView II. I read it can handle standard atx motherboards so it'll probably fit everything I already have.

Btw, other small question. Can my motherboard, the a8n-sli deluxe I believe, have the new AMD phenom processors or is it too old. My 4400+ served me well, but is aging.

Had no idea you could fit a 295 in the PC-A05B. Hows the cooling on it with that large a graphics card?

It is a PC-A05B. Not the PC-A05NB. Similar to the N, but the N has a few improvements. It is rather quiet, but the videocard area does run a tad hot. I found it had quite a bit of room for a case its size too.

No your motherboard is a S939 board, all the newer AMD's are socket AM2 or AM3.

I checked the dimension of yours (23"D x 9.5"W x 25.9"H) against my own and yours happens to be a little bigger than mine at (22.75"D x 9"W x 23"H). I don't know what kind of hardware you have in that thing but if it's anything like my own, I'd have to agree about not wanting to move it around on a regular basis seeing as how my own weighs close to 75lbs, if not more.

Here's a short 55s video of my own setup.

Re: Offical Show Your Rig Off

Is bigger always better?

I stripped this down and went with air cooling to play with this one. As far as I know Bill Owen and I are the only ones that have this prototype outside of NZXT. The "First Look" should be up later today or tomorrow I am just having fun with this one ... it is a vacuum chamber
