Yeah.....thanks to Lowfat I now feel compelled to go through and sleeve every bare, ugly wire left in my case and finally redo all the tubing in my water loop with the thin-walled blue tubing I have lying around.

Not such a bad idea actually. On the other hand you can buy one of Lian Li's front bezels for dvd players. Don't know if it would fit though.

Another thing you could do is just take a regular front bezel and just mod it to the dvd player. Found a pic of it:

Not in this system I don't. I use an external. Yes it is a Silverstone FT01BW.

No it will not fit. I have one here from a PC-A05B that can't get to fit. I wouldn't mind stealthing a drive like that but it is very hard to get it to line up perfectly like that. I've seen dozens of them that are very noticable and even look pretty poor.

And with the CM V10 I have in there now I don't even think an optical drive will fit.

HAF is a great case, and is truly High Airflow

The build isn't my work, it's from the local computer shop, and they do VERY good cable management for no extra cost

A couple of pics of my new case/rig (That has been built up over the last few months). Cable management needs a little bit of work, mainly because that darn floppy cable decided to go native on me, but aside from that, I'm happy.

As a side note, this thing is quieter than any other case I have ever used, even with that silly 14cm fan at the front. Also, while idle temps aren't much different to my old case, I fully expect the better airflow to mean that this thing stays cooler at load, and cools down post load much faster.

And yes, before you ask, I like shiny things! It may not be the most modest case you'll ever see, or the most practical, but it stood out and I personally think it looks awesome (even though many might quite rightly call it excessive!).

You know what, I read that and thought "Why doesn't that CPU shroud have a fan feeding it", so I installed one!

The side fan will definately help your rig cope with the heat the GTX275 outputs, from what i've read it definately chucks out enough. Looks like you had a tough time with the cable management in places, too many molexes? I know the feeling lol my case is packed out with them

I'm thankful my PSU has 7 Molexes and 2 SATA power connectors as well as the PCI-E ones, otherwise I might have screamed.

With the fans using 4 molexes themselves, the WinXP HDDs using 2, 2 SATA power requirements (HDD and DVD) and of course 2x PCI-E power connectors needed for the GTX, it adds up to a lot of cabling

What I hope to achieved with this case is a separation of air flows, in my old case, if my CPU heated up, the residual heat warmed by GPU, and vice versa, creating an overall heat issue when playing games for long periods. With my new case, I hope to have created 2 air streams (Or I hope I have) to make sure my GPU and CPU get cooled down as soon as possible and as best as possible.

When I get time I will attack the cable management situation properly, for now I want to make sure my aims are achieved, I certainly hope so and so far so good.

Oh, one benefit of this new case: noise, or lack there-of, it is so much quieter, thanks to better construction I think as I have more fans active than ever before. I can certainly notice my GPU fan even at 65% now, something I didn't before.

Looks like it could be worth taking a dremel to the case purely so you have more space to route cables through, at least it'll let airflow go through better that way
