It is a lot of inlets and outlets... interesting thing is that because of the high flow, there is very little localized heating, the temperature of the coolant is very consistent throughout the system once it reaches equilibrium.

Sad part is, that during the build I originally had a more traditional powersupply ( an ABS 1300), once I had assembled it all fired it up... I was getting only one of the GTX295's to show, one had a red light .... of course it was a GTX295 that I had modded with a 3rd party waterblock (thus voiding the warranty) so I actually bought another ... (was so frustrated that my ultimate machine was not going to be so ultimate, all reason went out the door), drained the system, reassembled... and STILL one GTX295 was redlighting ... frustrated I did some online research, came to realize my problem was NOT the GTX295, but rather a very poorly designed ABS 1300 powersupply that could not power (despite its lofty ratings) 2 GTX295's and my I7 extreme. Its split power rails could not handle essentially the 4 video cards of the GTX295s.

Soo I had to drain and replumb yet again, this time going with the monster oil immersed liquid cooled Koolance powersupply ( a thing of beauty...). Presto, all was well.. but it took three tries to get there . . .

Thats the big downside of ulitmate watercooling. If something goes wrong, it is a royal pain to take it apart and debug.

The upside of course, is that I can not get my i7 965 to ever go above 72C even under 4 hrs of running 8 threaded primes overclocked at 4.2GhZ. The GTX's also seem to top out at about 68C. I have temp monitors through the lines and monitor via a Koolance controller, the coolant temp equilibrates under full 3d Load at around 40-42C. The radiators pump out incredible amounts of heat when I OC, making it actually a nasty space heater... too hot to run full bore in the hot Arizona summers .. but fun when I want to generate monster 3D vantage scores.....

precisely

I know my water loop on my OC'd phenom heats up the room quite a bit. Enough that I finally moved the whole sytem into the guest bedroom because my room would not cool down and the Mrs. was a little annoyed.

Yeah I gotta say that I agree with you about the liquid cooling I always let out a sigh right before I ha ve to change something or troubleshoot. That and I trying everything in my power to fix things before I have to tear into the hardware

I thought ABS was a branch of Tagan. Or at least they used to be. amirite?

EDIT:

perhaps I am mistaken. But I'm pretty sure that they had a product line called ABS

I wiki'd it. It was originally a subsidiary of ABS Computer Technologies when it was founded in 2001. I knew there was a connection.

I missed a lot the day you posted this and just have a quick question as I am working on a full watercooled system Mod myself as time permits. You mentioned the Koolance PSU and I have been looking at a few of there products. In fact they are the only ones that make NB, SB and regulator blocks for my Gigabyte GA-X38-DQ6 so just looking for some feedback.

Cheers

They're ......BEAUTIFUL!

the part that made me laugh about the Cosmos S case was the GTX card that you literally have a cooling hose running through the hole where the fan used to be.

Good use of space! I commend you!

bloody hell..

that is totally obsessively neat, and very cool
I'd never have anything like the patience to get a case anywhere near that neat.

Believe it or not, I haven't been tidying these cables, just pushing them aside so they don't hang all over the place. The fan controller's cables & thermometers were a git to tuck in the sides of the casing.

I'll probably hide the cables better when I next upgrade.
