whats the best an air cooled AXP has done? This is pretty freakin high up there I'd guess. I havent seen many athlon XPs go this high before. I've seen some claims of getting 3200+ XPs to over 3ghz but only with liquid nitro.

[color=white]Here is mine: 235x10, Vcore: 1.5, your temps seem very good - exceptional in fact. What case are you using, air flow and what temp is the room?

air temp is about 75F in here. I have 2 fans in the front of the case and 2 in the back. I also reversed the CPU fan to blow out instead of down onto the heatsink. I've found this to be a far more effective method of cooling on the SLK heatsinks(I have never had an SLK do better with a fan pointing down. course i've only messed with 4 including my own). The case? Honestly I dont know what it is. Its not a famous brand, I can tell you that. Basically it is jet black, has special covers for the CD bays so its all uniform looking...and it has a Blue LCD diagnostic screen. it monitors case temps, power levels, Harddrive activity, fan activity. stuff like that. It really isnt all that useful(well the power meter is) but its cool looking.

anyway my airflow would be alright except that the PSU cords are kindof a rats nest. its not TOO bad though.

you know it takes a good day to a week before the AS5 seats fully and you get the optimum temps, right?

well if you do some heavy gaming or something that really strains the CPU for a good 24 hours...I THINK thats enough. so maybe downoad prime95 and run it for a full 24 hours.

I've had my AXDA1800DLT3C~JIUHB0321VPMW (1.5v default) @ 2.35ghz before, but my mobo doesn't really like low multipliers- Anything under 11 and it flakes out. I run it at about 2.2 every day @ 1.6v.

I like those mobile Bartons -most of them will do 2.4ghz no problem.

EDIT-- looks like I forgot some important numbers LOL,

suprisingly 2.5 is good, but it's not really up there that's an average axp mobile overclock, for a regular ole 2800 its pretty good though. Before upgraded to A64 I had a Thermalright SLk-900A those things kick ass

unfortunately it cannot maintain 2.5ghz when running Prime95. So i guess thats no good drat. 2488mhz it'll do okay though.

Anyway I'm going to do the AXP -> Mobile mod that was featured on THG soon so that I can lower my multi and hit higher FSB. Seems like my ram can easily go past 250mhz just from what other people have said whom also have Geil ram of the same variety. I just hope the NB can push up that high.

Can you post a link for this mod?
I'd like to raise my multi. I've got a locked 2500+. It does 1826mhz @ 1.275v and 2420mhz @ 1.675v.
