??? Should I reset my heatsink?

Just a quick question for the highly experienced.

I have a SP-97 w/the hair dryer, a.k.a. Vantec Tornado (got a controller though!) on my 2600+ Mobile XP. I currently have it running at stock speed (not the actual default of 133X15 but 200X10) and my idle is about 35C with a load temp of about 42C. Case temp at idle is 22C and at load it rises by 3-4 degrees. Ambient temperature is 22C so case temp at idle usually matches. Thermal compound is Artic Silver 5. Oh, fan is running at ~3300 RPM (lowest possible).

So based on this, what is you opinion on resetting the heatsink?

THANKS!

3300rpm is the lowest possible? Anything over 2800 makes me cringe!
Just confirming what's already been said, that's not to shabby, so shouldn't need to reseat it.

yea man, your temps are fine. But hey, if you want to go out and re-seat your sp-97, go knock yourself out.

As far as tornados go.....excellent fans . Have one blowing over my 6800GT 24/7 .

pretty much anything under 50C are really good temps. 60C and higher, you might want to reconsider your cooling solution.
