9100 bios clocking

hi all!
got Club-3D Radeon 9100 128MB 250/250MHz
i want do change bios clocks, lets say 270/270. only logical way is make copy of bios change clocks and flash it, but is it safe ? or is there some better way ?

why don't you just use something like radclocker or atitool rather than flashing the bios?
