Am i doing this right?
I dont know If im doing the right thing here.
Look at my specs to see what mobo i have and so on.. I have a AMD Athlon Xp 2400+ , the "default" speeds for this CPU is 133x15. Now i changed a jumper on my mobo (just for a test) and changed it to 166/200 fsb . Now i have the possibility on running it in higher FSB Speeds, so i changed the fsb to 200 (same as my Mems) and lowered the multiplier to 10, With the older jumper settings on the mobo (100/133) and the settings changed to 10x200 i expert mode, the computer wouldn't start Now when i have changed the jumpers it seems to work..(166/200) The temperatures are following Idle 41 °C Just after quitting a game (for example hl2) Around 50 - 55 °C So, Default 133x15 = 1995 Mhz Now 200x10 = 2000 Mhz Im just wondering if this is the right way to go..? Are the temperatures right, and how does this affect the cpu? My mobo have a Nforce 2 Ultra 400 chipset Thanks /Daniel

looks about right on the temps...and yes....upping the FSB and dropping the multiplier is the right way to do it
