Ocing a HP laptop w/ an Athlon 3400+...???

I have been into the BIOS and dont see any "adjustments".

DDo they lock that kinda thing at the factory???

well another wants to OC his laptop. my thoughts, good luck. it aint happening. HP locks up everything.

If you really enjoy that laptop get the idea of overclocking out of your head trust me, I used to built laptops and work on them, I also work for major computer company, laptops are so tightly intergrated that entire design of the laptop takes the tempature output in to account, and everything in there is thermally controlled so the plastic doesnt start melting and trust me I have seen it, let me put it this way would you overclock a cpu with heatsink only and no fan of course not than why would you try the same thing with a laptop.

that not smart what so ever. reading my A+ certification book they said lab top cpu fan dosent run all the time only when its needs to be cool down so you are bacillay realling taking that chance to causing damage on it

as above, do not do it. they are just not built for it on a whole lot of levels.
