Still not too shabby for 2T.. I know what I want for Christmas though.

edit-

I wonder if I am going to blow something up? It's getting cooler anyway.

i broke 32k i beleive with 2001se...

might have to go check that again...

in any case.... i had to step my cpu down from x10 ro x9.5 (2.38ghz) cause i found something that would forcefully reset my machine @ stock volts ....

come to think of it.... why hasn't AMD considered making 250mhz the next FSB setting. Considering everything seems to work great at this settings... no complication and it does seem to improve things a bit even if nothing is technically oced aside from a larger FSB

Yeah I am wondering if where I have it now is ok or will it hurt something.. 257 (HTT), I don't want to drop down to a x3 HTT, but I want to keep going on my CPU, I think I can run it at 2.85ghz or higher no problem, day-in day-out. I don't want to have to drop the ram down another stage either.. Actually maybe my ram could hang in there for a few more mhz? especially at 2T.

I dunno, but these systems are much more fun to OC than that the socket A's were.

I would be happy to just hit 30,000 or so in 3dmark01...

Hey, got a question.

What is the best method of load balancing the OCZ PowerStream 600ADJ.

It's not the PowerStream 600ADJSLI..

I've currently got the mastercard hooked up to the PCI-Ex connector and then there are the 2 VGA 4 pin connectors which i then connected to the Y PCI-Ex addapter which then connects to the Slave card.

I'm getting the occasional full instant system shutdowns. I have to do a PSU-Reset to turn the system back on.

Suggestions?

Hi Judas,

Try this calculator out: http://www.extreme.outervision.com

I think you will find that you need some more wattage when you have those cards at full boogie.

Don't forget to include any overclock on the CPU.

says 572/601watts when i got done with my setup....

(not sure about the wattage of my cpu... i think mine's the lower wattage rev... so 572 if that's the case.. or the higher wattage one which is 601)....

in any case....

suggestions?

your 600watt Powerstream can't manage it or what?

btw... just to inform you..

i can run super stable.. no problem as long as i don't go over 660 on the core.. and 770 on the mem. If i got 5 mhz higher on both..... load up 3dmark06 and get to the part where that huge canister looking thing falls down on the guy and spits out all that dust or whatever... instant computer shutdown happens...

Yes, you are overloading the Power supply and it is shutting down with an overclocked CPU and video Cards. I don't think the PSU calculator can overclock the cards and show wattage, just the CPU.

To answer your original question, you have the load very well balanced, just not enough juice I don't think.

hey ryder, i know this is outside of what this thread is about but i thought i would give it a shot.
a couple of months back i purchased 2x1gig sticks of ocz plat 6400 ddr2 from monarch comp. sent int the forms for the $25 rebate & what i thought at the time was the correct barcode. just got a letter today saying that it isnt. si called & was told there is no way to get the rebate unless i come up with the barcode. well between the time involved, having lots of boxes from building a brand new comp & having to ship wrong/faulty stuff back & forth & throw in moving on top of all that, i no longer have the box. is there anything you can do? thx mike h.

Just wondering what mem chips I got.. Some reviews say they default to 2.8, some say 2.71v ...

Quote:
The difference is fundamental: the default voltage of the modules is increased to 2.8V, but the timings are lowered down to 3-3-2-8. Of course, this is not only due to the copper heatsinks, but rather to the chips these modules are based on – revision C chips from Infineon.
http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/mem...roundup_8.html

Those are "revision c" from Infineon I guess..

I bought these-
http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/Produc...dlist=shopping

This guy says-

Quote:
Let’s see if they hold the OCZ reputation. Leaving all mem settings to auto in the bios the mobo recognized the memory timings as 3-3-7-2 vs. the 3-3-8-2 it is advertised. This just might be a bonus. Auto voltage defaulted to 2.71v. Not too shabby
http://www.ocmodshop.com/ocmodshop.aspx?a=653

I can't really tell what default is the way my bios is set up.. It doesn't show what voltage is being used when it is set to auto.

Just wondering what chips I have, and if they like more voltage, even for more stability at default clock speed or if it's best to leave them at default voltage.

They pass memtest86+ for 5 hours.. I can run prime95 for 10+ hours.. (indefinitely)... but in some games I get some weird errors sometimes. I might need to reinstall WinXP at this point too.. Or maybe I need to give this ram more juice to test that. -not sure if this ram likes more voltage or not.

They are Infineon / Aeneon CE-5 or CE-6

Lower voltage is better a lot of times with these, use 2.5 - 2.8V, but more than that is not going to help.

Oh ok thanks.. Then what I have been hearing about using lower voltage has some truth to it.

Earlier today I got my 2GB Dual channel kit of PC4000 (OCZ5002048EBPE-K) RMA back. I would like to thank RyderOCZ and your customer support team for all your time and guidance in the very speedy return of the Ram.

It only took 1 week for aria.co.uk to complete the turn around. From my first reporting the defective Ram, them testing it and delivering the replacement kit to me. (I can just taste the humble pie I am about to eat )I will write them a very special thank you tomorrow.

So I can feel a very long night of memtest86 v3.2 comming on, I hope these are ok.

Don't use Memtest v3.2, its not up to date.

You should be running v1.65 from www.memtest.org
