he was probably going to give it to me & now you have ruined it!

actually you have a point. we started 'on topic' & would have ended up back 'on topic'(eventually). it was rude & hurtful the way he slammed us like that

. i think he owes both of us.

@Zelig,

Did you make sure the cable was plugged into the PSU firmly? Mine was quite solid going in....maybe it just wasn't making contact.

I will check with HQ and see if we have any power cords we might be able to send you.

I tried pushing it in further, and afterwards tried it with a monitor since I didn't fancy the idea of my computer turning on/off every few seconds and it still cut power when I moved the part of the cables near the end.

However, I just plugged it into my monitor (it's been lying on a shelf for the past couple months) and it seems to be working fine, regardless of how much I move the cable...

I just picked up a second 1 GB kit of the above memory. The new sticks look almost identical (slight difference in heat spreader) and have identical stickers. However, the new ones are reporting different timings to my comp's BIOS. What gives?

Hi Rasta,

If you set the timings manually these SPD settings are meaningless anyway...do all 4 sticks run in the PC as they should?

im having some serious problem with mine ocz memory,i keep getting crs errors all the time specially when i try to install a game, i thought that that the problem was my hard disk so i got another one but im still getting the bloody errors,i tried my friend`s memory on my pc and it worked fine, i have 4x 256 ddr400m,i know that i should have got 2 memory sticks of 512 each that was my mistake.

what memory have you, and what timings/speeds/voltages are you running them at?
