@ Rasta,
I don't have the board, but are those down under GAT? Game Acceleration Technology? If that is the case they need to be at Auto for just about everything. Although you can play with other settings, it will just depend on your system. @ CDDB......you can't set those at 2-2-2-5 they don't have those choices for what he is talking about...those aren't the timings lol

I don't even know what your choices are ... I don't have the board.
Those enable or partially enable PAT...you will just have to "play" with them to see if the system stays stable.... There is no 1 magic setting that is best for everyone. Everyone I talk to that uses the board....uses Auto

I recently bought an OCZ DDR Booster. I have it in my system right now, however something isn't right. The LED on the booster only displays numbers numbers when you have the knob all the way counter clockwise, and it is numbers that jump from 0.3 up to 9.7. Then eventually the LED shuts off. Any idea what the problem is? The rest of the info is in my sig.

UPDATE: The LED is on now all the time except the numbers still are varying from 0 to 9 or so. but its not jumping around, its decreasing all the time, and when it gets to 0, it goes back to 9.

RyderOCZ regarding the new RAM that i installed ( see specs below) if i want to overclock them, my mother board (K8N Neo 2 Platinum) in the bios has a function called Dynamic Overclocking and it gives me different setting like increase the CPU frequency by 1%, 3%,5,%,7%,9%, or 11% which would you recoomend?

Widkidone,
None of it....turn off Dynamic Overclocking...do it manually...its rubbish ![]() Set the timings on the DRAM page to 2.5-3-3-7 (CAS-tRCD-tRP-tRAS) set the ram voltage to 2.75V. You should now be able to raise the FSB as high as 220-230ish at 1:1 for a nice boost

Well i set 2.5-3-3-7 (CAS-tRCD-tRP-tRAS) and the voltage to 2.70 abd set th FBS from 200 to 220 and the system just reboots and ask if i want to start windows normally or at the last best known configs. But it keeps rebooting back to teh same question. Any ideas?

Ok...well I kind of expected you to work your way up there
try 205, then 210, etc and test with memtest each time to make sure things are stable ![]() Did you lower the LDT multi to 4x instead of 5? Did you lower the CPU multi or raise the CPU voltage?....by raising the FSB you also raised the CPU speed to 2640 from 2400...it might need more volts. Is the ram in the 2 slots closest to the CPU? What bios are you running? |

I would recommend updating the bios to 1.8 or 1.9 also then....the San Diego was not officially supported until 1.8 I don't think..... 1.B is the latest....you might get better results with an update too

MSI built the board, not AMD.....you need to go to MSI's website.
www.msicomputer.com ...find the Neo2 and the bios files should be on its download page. |

Yes....work your way up to the 220 or 230 wherever your sticks top out...you will have to find that. No way for me to say that yours will definitely go 230 ...heck you might get 240...who knows
