Is my Athlon XP 2200 Unlocked?

So I bought a used Athlon XP 2200 processor... Just got it today. The numbers on it are:
AXDA2200DKv3C
AIRGA 0230TPAW Manufactured in 1999

My question is that it looks like some stuff is done to the L3, L4, L12, L5, and L11 brdiges...but the problem is that these marks look cut.......oh wait... They look like laser marks....I'm not so familiar with the surface on the XP processor...this is my first. Are these the ditches that are cut so that you cannot overclock? HELP!?!!

What the fuck....it lost all my formatting....damn......On the L1 the extra dot is on the bottom left...L3, top left, L4 bottom left, L12 bottom left, L5, bottom left, L11, top right.

How the hell do I unlock this CPU? I read that I can unlock it by connecting the rightmost L3 bridge... But this only give me the 5x - 12.5 multiplier....

Yep the L3 bridge is what controls the multipliers. Just get a car rear window defogger kit and draw a nice line around the trench to the other side. No need to fill in the trench like you had to with the Palominos

So I can't get the CPU to boot once it is in the machine......I updated to the latest bios of my MOBO... It says that it can run a 2200...... The computer turns on......and just sits there.......does that mean that the CPU is dead or that the bios can't run with the CPU.???

I'm not really an overclocker myself, but I think you have to set the CPU clocking manually within the BIOS, don't try to use the default CPU settings at a higher speed as an overclock method. I could be wrong though

So I am assuming that the CPU is dead. I ran it in my computer with two different bios versions that are supposed to be able to run an Athlon XP 2200. I tried it several times and it never booted. I set the bios to default clocks then threw in the 2200 and it never booted. I tried to boot it once without RAM and it did not even beep to tell me that I did not have RAM. Therefore it must be dead or my bioses really don't support the XP 2200.

Any suggestions?

Um, well I don't think so, this guy was a fuck on eBay.... I just bid on it for fun...I bid 20$ less than most of the 2200's go for on eBay.... But somehow I won... I emailed the guy but still no response yet.

Can you test it on a mate's rig? Have you looked over the CPU to make sure the die isn't cracked or one of the bridges are scratched/linked together? One time my 1600+ wouldn't boot because it got thermal grease on the bridges and it was shorting.

That's the thing....no one around that runs socket A....I can't think of anyone.... None of my friends are as in to computers as I am.

How about a little computer-enthusiast shop or something? Someplace they might have open systems on display, or might let you pop in your CPU to test it out. A shop may be inclined to let you, if they think you might buy from them to replace your potential dud.

Well I have to wait for tomorrow for that..... I don't know of many stores like that around here. Most of the places like that are just strictly upgrade stores... not a place to mingle with the workers... The stores that I have been in are full of people who don't want to be bothered.....ya know.
