??? axia overclocking

hi all , i have a 1 ghz ( 10 x 100 f.s.b) athlon axia chip running at 1.40 ghz (10 x 140 f.s.b) and was wondering if it would be a good idea to push it to 1.50 ghz (10 x 150 f.s.b) or is that to high for these chips ? any info would be of help. temps are 46c idle and 49c under load. thanx in advanced.

As long as the load temps stay under 55C, I don't see why not. Heat is what will kill the cpu. So if as long as you keep it cool, OC that sucka as far as it will go

Sounds about right and is pretty good actually. On my P4 1.6, 512mb PC2100 and GF3@200/480 I get about the same-6700 points.

Big Grin update

ran at 1440 mhz (10 x 144 f.s.b) without problem. did 3d mark 2k1se from cold start ran through all tests got 6746 c.p.u hit 51c. dont want to push any further as i dont want to kill it. will take cover off tomorrow to help cooling and will try 150 f.s.b. not bad though 44 % overclock with standard cooling and voltage.
