exclamation Overclocking Low-End Palominos

Hey, I need some help here. I've got a 1600+, an EPoX 8KHA+ (KT266A), and PC2100 RAM. Now, I've unlocked my proc' but for some reason, multipliers above 12.5X (13X, 14X, etc) don't work properly... 13X functions as 10X, I think. At any rate, I read somewhere that only the AXP 2100+ and above had access to those multipliers.

Is this true, or will I be able to use the higher multipliers once I upgrade my motherboard?

Also, at a local computer store, they have 1700+ T-Breds for, like, $60... should I ditch my 1600+ (probably go for $40 or so) on eBay and upgrade to one of these new horses or is that just a waste of cash? And what kinds of things should I be looking for as far as these TBreds are concerned?

Thanks in advance for the help.

i think you have to reverse the L10 bridges to get access to the other multis... ie if its : l cut one and bridge the other so its l : and you will have the higher multipliers, but then the lower ones wont work, this is why the xp 2100 has the bridges the other way to the xps less than 2100 (xp2100 has a 13x multi)
