nForce users to my rescue!!!!!

Ok, Just got my Abit NF7(non S) last night. I was busy with my girlfriend and had little time to do anything with the mobo. Here's my problem. I can't run my XP2000 on anything other than stock settings. IT IS UNLOCKED. It wasd unlocked on my old GA-7VAX. But for some reason I cannot get the CPU to run anything different than stock.

What I have done so far:
I tried to run my 2000 at a 166 bus and a 10 multiplier (so then same total speed as stock) cuz I was trying to make the mem sync with the CPU. I used a 4/4 divider to get 333mhz for the ram. I rebooted and that led to a hard lock. ABIT claims that if you power on and off the computer 3-4 times it will take the old CMOS settings if the ones you tried were invalid...THAT DOESN'T WORK. So I had to clear CMOS.

So I try it again with the same settings throughout the bios and it does the same thing.

Can someone help me out with these dividers and stuff? Can someone tell me why these boards are picky on what you boot? I'm gonna go try the multipliers at just 133 CPU and see if my unlock isn't good enough.

EDIT: So I have full multiplier control. I can use FSB up to 140....but it is spotty. I have to use certain multipliers to get 140 to work. WTF!??!?! Why can't I just use 166 and have the XP2000 running at 166 bus?

Are the PCI/AGP buses locked? Or can you at least set dividers for them?

Yes they are locked........PCI will always be 33...AGP can be changed from 66-99....But I leave it at 99

Typo......i left it at 66.......i aint that dumb. I was in a rush. I got the thing running 166*10 right now. I had to coax it up to 166.......It wouldn't just GO THERE. I had to change multiplier to 10....then work up the CPU clock that way. I really like how damn fast it is. It's just amazing how much quicker windows runs. The initial load of startup items is soooooooo much faster. And who couldn't love an increase of 5-10 FPS.... I haven't gotten the card to run a full 3Dmark yet. Vid card keeps freezing...I don't know why though. But nevertheless......I AM THOROUGHLY HAPPY
