every A64 board is the same, you don't need a specific walkthrough. Some overclock better, and some have more options for memory, etc. But they all overclock the same way.

Just don't raise the VCore too much. What cooler do you have on your Opteron?
With the stock cooler I could run my Opteron 144 (1.8GHz) @ 2.5 GHz, now with the AC Freezer 64 PRO it is running @ 2.7 GHz. Regards, Partizan

I would start raising FSB in 5 MHz increments, when it doesen't start anymore or hangs, raise VCore in small increments.
And watch for memory frequency too. Regards, Partizan

WHat I do is go up until Windows won't boot/acts majorly funny then go back down one step and test the hell out of it till it works. Be careful raising vcore though... don't go more than .2 volts out of spec I'd say... more voltage shortens the chip's life and creates alot more heat |

It won't blow up its just somethign to think about.
I know someone whose run their Barton chip at 1.85 volts (up from 1.65) for a year or so now and its been fine. Just don't go too nuts with the voltage because its the most dangerous part of OCing...so long as you understand that you can't really bork it if you're careful |
