I don't suppose you can change the order. From my personal experience Thermaltake heatsinks (with the exception of the Big Typhoon) are extremely loud and don't cool that well. You could buy a Zalman CNPS7000B-AlCu for less money, and it will do a far superior job.

The zalmans aren't too hard to install man. They just take time and effort. Though it did take me half a day because I did some re-wireing and peeled off the sticky stuff on the memory and used arctic silver on all 8 of the heatsinks. It still was well worth it.
Only bad thing to report would be that I cut my hands up on everything else trying to be careful not to cut them on the Zalmans |

You guys not get the Akasa Evo heatpipe coolers over the pond? The Evo im running now has been the quietest and coolest hsf Ive owned. I idle around 26-27C.

I don't know how hard they are on A64 systems but installing of the Zalman CNPS7000B on S478 was really simple once i figured it out, didn't even need to take the mobo out. However with the Thermalright HSF I am pretty sure you need to. |

hmmm....well it dosent really matter long as it keep my opteron cool at 2.8ghz.....my mobo dosent let raise voltage so 2.8 is the max i can get i think (unless i need to raise that multiplyer thing.......)

Zalman's are the easiest thing in the world to install, they use standard screw in methods vs. clipping on sockets etc. and it gives you one hell of an even fit.

Ive got 3 Thermaltake Streetfighter fans for my case 6000rpm, very loud top speed but thankfully a fan controller as well, they move alot of air & keep things nice & cool, your bit of kit looks loike the same fan & i bet it keeps your cpu ice cool
