There's nothing in the rules that say you can't talk in dutch, but if you want a answer, it'd have to be english for the majoirty of the board to understand

you dont have to post in english Martijno2000, its just you will probably get more response, as the majority of our board members are english speaking.

Bios flashing

I've got a Geforce 256 (yeah I know it's old) but I'm trying to push IT a little bit harder, so I can play my games more fluently...So I was wondering If there is anything let's say Bios flashing for instance that I can download and perform on my GF

Btw its a Geforce 256 SDR 32mb from Creative

There won't be anything helpful about flashing the BIOS of that chip/card. Try downloading the latest drivers, and tweak a few of the settings. You're not going to go hog-wild with performance but it will do more than flashing the BIOS *which is only needed for compatibility issues*

Bios flashing does NOT give a gian in preformance . Some NV gfx card makers allow for flashing but all in all usally it just helps with a few bug/fexes in the hex code. IMO its not worth it .What Id suggest is save your money and buy a newer gfx card for around $125 such as the ti4200 or r9500 .

Bios Flash/OC

I've never flashed or modded my Geforce 256 SDR 32 Mb from Creative, cause the fact is, I haven't found one yet that's better or faster than my original bios....So I was wondering how could I get my Geforce to get faster.......? Perhaps I need a bios of a faster kind of GF or even a whole new one....can someone help me with that....gettin' me a new bios

Buying one....hmm

Yeah I know the fact that buying a cheap and much faster card is an option but , there are more people around me who like to play on this pc with my "old" GF, maybe in a couple of weeks I'll buy a whole new system but till that time I'd love to see how much I can squeeze out of my Geforce....

You're not listening.

Don't waste your time worrying about flashing your 256's BIOS - Its NOT going to help. Do what David said and save your time and money and buy a better video card, either now or later but in either case, don't stress about your current Gf256.

really if you upgrade that GF is a huge system bottle neck for you. Doesnt matter if you get a 3ghz cpu it will make no difference in games cause the gfx just cant keep up.

OK thnx for the advice

I won't be stressing about my Geforce anymore and take your advice I suppose...Getting a radeon 9500 Pro or something like that...that will do the job.......

Oh and BTW thanks for your time guys....

(watching for Radeon's, they better be hiding by now )

No problem. Everyone needs a little advice now and then, (Usually followed by smacking some sense into them till they understand)
