Hey, I'm new here, firstly I'd like to say thank you to those who released the latest "PAX Audigy Software Suite Summer Edition 2008" as this has been the best driver pack that I have ever seen for my soundcard, however, I am having a bit of trouble so I was wondering if you could please help me;

I keep trying to open "SETUP.EXE" in the Audigy4 folder but I keep getting an error message saying "The system cannot find the file specified." ... I saw that someone had the same problem as me in a previous post and then he/she got a reply from Robert asking for the hardware ID and the support cab...

I have the ID here, I'm running an Audigy 2 ZS -
PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0004&SUBSYS_20021102&REV_04 ...

I hope that's of some help, thank you for your time.

It's a old issue. because without \ctrun folder.

you must execute
Audigy4\Audio\Setup\setup.exe [common App without speaker Calibrator]
and
Audigy4\CMS\Setup\setup.exe [mediasource]

It's Creative fault. Because audigy driver after 2.09.0016 version always had this issue.
Just uses the X-FI driver to modify for Audigy.

I modify a version of audigy

[smart recoder & Equalizer & dolby digital & dts louder & asio & surround mixer working great]
My OS / Windows XP 32 bit
My software suite / Pax_Audigy_Software_Suite8

Download it from

Am I correct in thinking the summer 08 software suites contain the v5.20 drivers already ?

Or do we have to intstall the v5.20 drivers seperately ?

Cant really make any sense of the above mate.

I'm on winxp 32 and have X-fi fatality.

I've installed software suite 2008 summer, but do I need to install the v5.20 drivers aswell ? eg before/after or are they already included in the sumer suite ?

Hi Robert.

I just wanted to bring to you attention there is a new chipset you haven't hacked yet.

I recently purchased the Creative X-Fi Titanium PCI-Express card which has SPDIF-IN and SPDIF-OUT via optical on the card itself (no need for I/O drive). The card runs the new EMU 20K2 chipset

Currently, none of the drivers for this new item (and the accompanying Championship model with the I/O board) are available online but I have the CD that came with the device, which I can package for you.

I really only bought this card for Optical SPDIF-IN to decode DD and DTS. Leave it Creative to make lame drivers and have it disabled in the drivers. I was wonder if you can help me (and I'm sure others) out with this.

It's their newest chipset (20K2) and using PCI-Express and has optical in and out. The card seems to have great potential but poor drivers. I hope you can take a look at it.

I've been a great fan of your work since the old Audigy 1/2 days. I still have both those cards but I lost my I/O drive over the years and had to buy a new card. I would like DTS decoding over SPDIF-IN mostly for decoding DTS from my PS3 via optical SPDIF-Out.

Let me know if you can help me out.

Thank you.

Edit: While searching the forums, I've noticed that I, like you, had the Bluegears 7.1 card in mind for decoding 5.1 via SPDIF-IN but the card does not decoding DD or DTS via SPDIF-IN. It only handles Stereo 48khz from optical in. I bought it from Newegg and had to send it back after much investigation. The card only does DTS-HD encoding for Optical SPDIF-Out.
I bought this card instead and I have the same problem. The difference is, I know it can be done with driver tweaks. If I can't get it working, I'll just give up and save up for a 7.1 HDMI receiver and new set of speakers (at least $400).

Thankyou Robert for all the work you've put into modding these drivers. And now a direct link for my x-fi card with vista. Your absolutely Brilliant.

Just as i were all happy about installing these drivers..

After extracting the summer x-fi vista pack into its own folder and running the setep file as explained, i'm now experiencing a problem which is stopping me from finishing the installation. I've received two error messages.

If i click ok, the error messages just continue popping up.. So i end up task closing the setup.

http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/7171/err1py8.jpg

http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/2383/err2zd7.jpg

Has anybody experienced these errors?

I cannot proceed with the installation.

Thanks.
