Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

@blubb0r_2k8
in latest drivers creative add some crc code (offset 68h) to block modyfication
its very simply "column based" algorithm, i write macro for winhex to automatically compute and paste in right place this crc but for some reason (creative) i don't share it

Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

i have patched file but i decided do not share it public
i use fatality card and dolby is very important option for me
i don't want to push creative for making beter "nonmoddable" protection

Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

Some time ago I've bought X-Fi Xtreme Music OEM on e-bay like site. The guy told me that this card is DELL OEM. Well I cannot use this card. It is detected as "Multimedia Audio Controller" and if I install official driver from Creative I've got "This device cannot start (Error 10). Using Vista SP1. Tried latest PAX 6.30 today but... no luck The same error. Is there any way to make this card work or is it just bricked?

Hardware Ids:
PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0005&SUBSYS_00201102&REV_00
PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0005&SUBSYS_00201102
PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0005&CC_040100
PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0005&CC_0401

If You need any more info then let me know. I hope that someone can help me

@RafalWojcik
official driver dont support vendor like this:
PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0005&SUBSYS_00201102
maybe you try add this to the wdma_emu.inf file

Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

Well I was trying also PAX drivers (v6.30). There are two folders with wdma_emu.inf file. One is "Sbxf" and second "Xfhx". In first one my IDs are present in wdma_emu.inf, but in second they are not. Which one should I use? I've tried to add it to inf file in second folder but I must know which DATA\CT*.DAT file(s) should I use. And I think those *.dat file are problematic. These files are strictly dedicated to specific card models right?
