Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

Hi,

I have a Xtreme Audio PCI-E too, but at this time im thinking about put hit in the trash :\

I'm currently with Vista SP1 x64.

I tried 2.55 but didn't and im now using the 2.50. I got the microphone working using the flexijack thing.

Now the problem is that the microphone is too damn LOW, the level of volume is 100% and there is no boost option :\.

Another thing is the audio, it not sounds good, for example changing folders, like going to windows explorer and navigate thru folders, that default sound that windows do when you open one, it's like cut off.

Robert McClelland, do you think there is something you can do about this??
At least the microphone i really need it.

HW id : pci\ven_1102&dev_0007&subsys_10121102

Thanks.

Hello everyone out there. Just joined up. I have a problem with an creative extreme music card (SB0460) which is not detected by the software. I having been surfing to see if I can find some answers. I came up of this site where the seems to have a great deal of information and everyone seems to be helpful. I will continue to see if I can find answers. If not I will make a post for help.

Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

I've got x-fi xtreme audio notebook and drivers from windows update give me sound on all 6 speakers in windows 7 x64 when I play movies with AC3 5.1 sound. So I think that surround sound isn't the real problem. Missing Crystalizer and CMSS3D functions is :/

Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

bahh, hate creative support for x64 OS :\ I have one audigy 2 and one xtreme audio pci-e, both have good sound but the microphone is just too lowww.

The xtreme audio not even with 32bits OS :\ and the audigy2 microphone just works under kx drivers.

Any luck with the mic boost thing Robert?

My p5b-dlx onboard sound doesn't work either, really hard to play CSS woth my team without mic :\ is just too low, i have to put the mic into my mouth to them hear me.

Sorry I could not answer before but I had to make a short trip for my business.

I do not believe so. I bought the card in December2006 and installed it in a Win XP Home box which worked until the motherboard became defective. I bought a new mobo (Asrock Wolddale 1333-D667 2.0) and installed the X-Fi extreme music card which did not work with the original installation disk. I tried the latest drivers from Creative web site and have been receiving an error that the drivers are not installed and the sound board is not detected. That's where I am today. If you can help me and need more information I would be glad to provide the information

Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

Hi Robert

I tried to install the latest drivers (SB_XF_PCDRV_LB_2_18_0008.exe) from Creative on Jan 22 2009. This time there were no errors during installation. The sound card was detected as Creative X-FI Audio Processor(WDM). When I checked the status in the Device Manager the device properties stated "This device cannot start (code 10). Below is some info that may be pertinent to my problem.

DEVICE ID PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0005&SUBSYS_00211102%REV_00\4&CF8 1C54&0&10F0
Win XP Home SP 3
Asrock Wolfdale 1333-D667 Motherboard
Intel Processor 2.20 GHZ
1F Ram

Thanks
