Just need a little advice though: I'm running Vista Home Premium 32 bit, A SB Audigy2 with some sort of generic Creative drivers that suck.

I find I get crashes in both GTA4 & FC2. The games go into a sound-loop for a few minutes and then ctd.

So I'm going to upgrade to your 6.30's.

My question is: What else should I have soft-ware wise on my PC?

EG; Anything at all from Creative like 'Creative Audio Panel and the Alchemy thing?

Sorry to sound so ignorant, but I am. You though, are the driverman.

Thanks in advance
I'm going release 6.30 RC1 soon Don't download that driver there spelling tuneups in the set. I'm plan release sets tonight or later after would see. My parts going be here sometime this afternoon and going computer place tomorrow Local computer guy going be there only for me setup my parts can't wait

Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

Hi Robert, I just installed an X-Fi Fatal1ty FPS PCI on my XP Pro machine. Which of your X-Fi driver sets should I use? And the original software should be ok right?

Thanks for your help!

Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

hey sorry to be another person asking for your help but im having a problem with my xtreme audio pci card on windows vista, i cant seem to get the recording inputs to work with either the official or your driver. with my onboard sound i was able to monitor my xbox which i had plugged in via the line in (aux in, red and white cables) on the front of my computer. with this card it detects them but when i set to default i get no sound, i have also tried this through the entertainment console. everything setting is set to 100% volume

i also tried to monitor the digital connection under the impresssion that if i just set it to spdif in then and got an optical cable from my xbox to the pc then i could output the sound through my speaker but the same issue occurs i just get nothing through the speaker, and the monitoring level on vista doesnt move so it doesnt seem to detect anything

any help in solving this issue would be appreciated

edit also would there be any way to get the enhancments like bass managment working for the recording devices cos i love my floor shaking when a grenade goes off or something lol

Thumbs Up! Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

I've read through almost every page in this thread.
I have a more recent version of the Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatality Pro PCI-Express card. I've seen a couple people post this same model, but I didn't see any resolution to fix their problem.

I've checked all of the cards on newegg and the location I purchased mine from. They seem to all be SB0886 model.

I've tried using the 6.45 drivers posted here, but have been unable to get them to work. The setup.exe says it can't detect my hardware.

This is the Device ID, I pulled from Device Manager -> Parent
PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_000B&SUBSYS_00431102&REV_03\4&349 f8a92&0&0048

Any suggestions to making this version work or do I have to wait for an official supported release from Robert McClelland?

Thank You.

I keep staying 6.45 set is for PCI cards only not Express This set you need PCIe_PAX_X-Fi_Xtreme_V1.20.7z Download File on FileFront
I be releasing those sets later with better tuneup support

under hardware ID, it shows
HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_1102&DEV_000D@SUBSYS_11020043& REV_1000
HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_1102&DEV_000D@SUBSYS_11020043

under Parent, it shows
PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_000B&SUBSYS_00431102&REV_03\4&349 f8a92&0&0048

inside drivers\drive\t3v.inf, it shows support for
[CREATIVE.NTX86.6]
%Creative.Device1Desc.ntx86% = CTDev1, HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_1102&DEV_000A&SUBSYS_11021001

%Creative.DeviceHPDesc.ntx86% = CTDevHP, HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_1102&DEV_000A&SUBSYS_11021005

does that mean my card is not current supported?
When trying to run setup, it says "Setup is unable to detect a supported product....."

I do NOT have any creative released drivers installed.

I AM trying to install the PCIe drivers now.
MS Vista has installed it's high definition audio device drivers.

I agree.. thanks for the good work.. I especially appreciate when I'm also getting emails like this:
-----------------
Dear gixer1200,

Thank you for replying to Creative Labs Technical Support.

With regard to the issue that you are having, i understand that you have connected Xbox 360 to the optical input of X-fi Titanium but you are not able to get surround sound.

Please be informed that the X-fi Titanium does not have a built in decoder unlike X-fi Extreme Music or X-fi Elite Pro (Model SB0550) sound cards.

As such, you would only be able get Stereo sound from the optical connection.

In case if you need any clarification, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Please retain all the previous correspondence when replying to this email.

Yes! Finally an update for Audigy users. Well done, Robert. Keep up the good work.

PS: CrystaL_90, probably not, because - as far as I know - it's only meant for X-FI cards. You could get your hands on PAX PCI Audigy OS V6.25 release or wait for the update which is coming soon.

Hm, looks like this is the latest one. Nonetheless, there should be an update later today.

You have to purchase an encoder to have the sound blaster in order to decode the dolby from the xbox 360?
I was under the impression that your drivers handled this function?

if not, which encoder/decoder do I need to get to use in conjuction with your drivers to do this?

I can't install PAX_PCI_Audigy_OS_V6.30, because supposedly not supported my Windows Vista x64 :/
