Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

I got the error - ' error I - 001 ' on my install of the Audigy set at the 'THX' install.

Other than that all seems well.

Thanks heaps Robert

That'll be great Robert. Should we be expecting the cms-3d fixed drivers soon? Again, take your time. :-) Btw, do these windows drivers contain the 'perfect treble' that the 6.30's offered? I know that the they have fantastic bass.

Thanks. Keep up the good work.

I'm confused. The 6.35RC1 file on filefront is newer than than the straight 6.35 (which I assume is the finished product).

The RC1 version had a number of install issues (EG:THX)

Which version should I be using?

I have a Audigy 2zs on Vista32.

6.35RC1 on is Final driver for now THX Console it's for people who don't want the software suite. You don't have updated just skip it it's from audigy 4 prosoftware thats why there error in any THX. I might release work in progress on Old 06 set trying get X64 to work with it hehe I might have go to 07 set so I don't know yet . On XFI PCI Sets I release them tomorrow.

Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

Just bought myself a new Creative X-fi Xtreme Gamer, huge difference from Xtreme Audio, going to try your drivers as we speak, will let you know how they go, the default drivers are wacko from creative, my games create good sound but i cannot know the direction enemy are coming from and highs and lows are stuffed up?

Thought i wasn't going to go back with Creative but they hog the market :P

Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

Robert, you told me that I have to purchase something (software I believe) to decode the dolby digital signal from a xbox 360. I am currently using your drivers and they do not seem to give me the ability to decode dolby by themselves (the whole time I was under the impression they would).

what do i need to purchase to decode dolby digital from the xbox 360? I'm looking to get the 5.1 dolby.

thanks

(OR if anyone else has this working, please let me know. I know I'm not the only person trying to make this work)

filefront is such a pile of horse crap it's pages won't even load, so i'm a long shot from getting a download to start. these drivers really need to be torrented imo.

The nature of BitTorrent makes it a poor choice for drivers.

Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

Hello everyone. I hit a very nasty bump with my Audigy 2. ZS. I would like to apologise in advance if this has already been solved. I spent 8 hours trying to fix this Audigy 2 ZS. I am sure I missed the right thread because of the anger I had. Anyways, here goes.

1. I have a LAN at home.
2. 3 laptops running Vista (x86 and x64) and 2 XP SP3 machines.
3. The XP SP3 machines fail to network all the time so I decided to upgrade to Vista.
4. One of my pcs has an Audigy 2 ZS.

My problems start here.

After a fresh Vista Ultimate x86 install I downloaded Daniel's modified ISO. I burned the disc, slipped it in and decided to install. Errors I had :

1. This disc requires Windows 98 or later. I have no idea why because I did not set compatibility on the installer.
2. Removed all the trash with driver sweeper, cc cleaner, etc.
3. Reboot, insert disc, compatibility mode to XP SP2, setup says a supported product is not detected.

I spent two hours with Daniel's disc .

Afterwards, I went for KX Drivers. I used them before and I knew they will be different from creative. I've tried 2, 1 failed 1 installed. The latest one is not bad but the sound is far from what I am used too . Not enough treble, not enough bass, nasty mids, brutal cross over, etc.

I spent 3 hours on them, reading and trying to configure them in order to make them sound nice. Foobar+Asio+KX and no joy .

I turned back here and I tried :

1. creative_sbxfi_youppax2007. Supported product not detected. I run the youpax.exe file, everything works, creative setup halts.
2. Youp-Pax_X-Fi_Software_Su08. Audio installs with no problem, the rest fails. Supported product not detected.

I even modified the wdm_emu.ini with these entries and still no joy .

PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0004&SUBSYS_20021102&REV_04
PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0004&SUBSYS_20021102
PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0004&CC_040100
PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0004&CC_0401

As a desperate measure, I tried these,PAX_PCI_Audigy_OS_V6.35_RC1.

These install but the mixer and audio console do not open. Fatal Error

Sorry for the long post. I tried to be as detailed as possible so your input will be clear.

Thanks,
Wish...

P.S: I even tried my Audigy X-Fi Extreme Notebook drivers . This is how desperate I am .

These are the two cards I was talking about.

Hi Welcome If you need help you can PM me Did you try driffter slot? by chance?

Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

Hi Robert, I also had problems installing the thx console in the x-fi 6.50 driver set "error I-001". I managed to get around this by copying the original install cd for my card (xtreme gamer) to my hard drive and replacing the thx console folder with the one from your driver suite. I then installed just the thx console by running the original creative install program.

Wink Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

Hi Robert,

I will install a fresh copy of Windows 7 *7022* build x86. And a still use an Audigy 2.

PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0004&SUBSYS_10021102&REV_04
PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0004&SUBSYS_10021102
PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0004&CC_040100
PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0004&CC_0401

... Any Chance to use one of your drivers with windows 7 ??

For Windows 7 - didn't find any set that supports Audigy2

For Vista and XP - i use your PAX Set and use to works great - much better than the original creative set.

Thanks a lot for your help.
