Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

Doing it now for you.

Should I mirror all the downloads to my rapidshare account?

This will be the YOUPAX Folder on my RS account.

Ok mate, I appreciate all your work and commitment for these drivers - something Creative have always avoided!

Well, don't go out of your way, but I'd say mirror the most important drivers as Filefront really is bad. The software packs are the biggest pain because when you eventually get them to start, they'll usually fail half way through

By the way, I finally got both the driver and software downloads to start after refreshing the page constantly for 30 minutes but I'm sure the mirrors would be helpful to a lot of other people

I tried the audigy pack and I have a problem. This is common for me on 635, 6.35RC1 and both 6.40s.

Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

Well,

Here we go for another X64 Test.

Setup runs fines, ( no PAX Logo on BackGround ) - After 2 minutes, a window comes saying about WHQL - since this driver was not signed - and i choose to setup it anyway. No other screen, and plus 2 minutes it says everything is right and setup must Restart computer to finish.

No other Setup started, like on previous 6.35 RC1 or even 6.25 set, so as i think no setup started to AudioConsole, Surround Mixer 2, THX.

I Let the Windows Restart the computer as it was asked in the Setup.

Windows Restart without any errors. After I Login ...

No sound - Just went on DeviceManager and this is what i got.
Driver was not installed right. Can't Start the driver. I've tryed to manual install from Disk on device manager - but also gives an error ( CODE 10 ) can't start.

Also, even without drivers or with drivers from Original Creative or even the old set 6.35RC1 / 6.25 - I can't setup optional packs like THX , Surround Mixer, or Console.

It Gives another error as i Attached too. It's a strange error of Install Shield.

On this new pack, it cames with iKernelSetup on Root of pack. I've manual setup it, and now i Can manual start the Surround Mixer 2 setup to work.

BTW Just let you known that manual installing the Driver in DeviceManager from the 6.35RC1 set. Driver Working fine.

And just for fun, i've download the Audigy Suite 2008 ( Audigy 2/4 Softmod ) - Pax_Audigy_Software_Suite8.7z

From Audigy 4 Folder i manual setup the optinional components. Like the Surround Mixer, THX console, AudioConsole, DTS 6 Neo, Speakers Definition.

Worked like a charm, as it use to work on Audigy 2 @ Audigy 4 softmod on windows xp. Yeah - many functions like set some settings ( Bass Managment and CMMS 2 from That Audigy Console on softmod not working right ) but the main function and the beuty screens worked right.

Still here for other tests. I've setup a Trial Booting - 2 Vista X64 Setups and finishing the Windows 7 setup to make tests.

So i'm ready to play.

Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

I have uploaded a few in the rapidshare folder. Don't worry about the size. Feel free to download. I made sure that the files over 100MB will be used by TrafficShare, which is my bandwidth. Have fun and make sure you check regularly!!!!!! As soon as Rob adds, I will mirror them.

Audigy 2, XP. Driver installs OK but then has an exclamation next to it after a reboot...and there's no audio. Gone back to the 6.35 ones now

Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

OK, installation kinda went OK on the 6.45. THX console wouldn't install, though (gave me some file error).
Driver installed, seems OK, but EAX seemingly isn't working (effects amount is at 0 and the slider to change it is greyed out - damn!)

You might have to reinstalled your audio software to get EAX and EQ to work on new drivers I found that out the hard way. Ever time I updated my own drivers on my XFI Champ card I couldn't get EAX and EQ to work then I found bam when I reinstalled my software it work again for some odd reason. Everone Just skip THX Console I don't think the installer doens't like it sorry .

Everone Just skip THX Console I don't think the installer doens't like it sorry .

The THX from your audigy Software Suite 08, when "called" from Audigy 4 Original Setup worked fine, ( don't known if it's really working right ) but at last it setups.

Isn't it possible to extract the content since it's a InstallShield and repack it again ??? make the installer standalone !?

Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

Hi Rob,

Does this Windows 7 x-fi Full lite Package support Cmss-3d, using 5.1 or 7.1 mode?

The previous driver failed to support Cmss-3d in 5.1 and 7.1 within Windows 7.

And i'm a little confused by the description as to what as been improved over the last windows 7 drivers??

Could you mention the improvements over the last drivers?

Thanks.
