Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

Hi Rob,

I used driver sweeper and driver cleaner pro in safe mode to remove the 1.10 w7 drivers. I installed the PAX PCI XFI Windows 7 Full V1.15 drivers..

To find out the Cms-3d is still not working.. I've set 5.1 mode within the console and set to stereo surround, and positioned the sound to the rear and front speakers, but theres no sound coming out of the rear speakers..

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa..

Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

I just installed the drivers again, by choosing to install over yesterdays installation. However this time I used Vistas compatibility mode. Cmss-3d is restored.

Cheers Rob - They sound great.

Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

Hi Robert, I've been a fan of your drivers for a while now, Been using Audigy 2zs softmod. Now I've got a Dell OEM SB0460 Xtrememusic on WinXP SP2, I downloaded the latest for it - PAX_PCI_XFI_OS_Full_V6.55.7z. After installing, it seems I couldn't get the decoder tab to show in the audio console. I was hoping to use DD/DTS hardware decoding. Are there any updates on this? If not is there anything I can do to help? Or is there anything I am doing wrong, maybe you can give me a quick step by step guide since there are so many files to click in so many folders. I've pretty much done the basics, uninstall any sound drivers, used driver cleaner in SAFEMODE etc etc.

for everyone else.. Is there a way to flash my DELL OEM Xtrememusic to a Retail OEM Xtrememusic?

could have posted this question in the YouP-PaX forums, but it's down. dunno why..

Hi Did you used driver cleaner by chance and System Care | IObit | Computer Scan | Repair PC Slow Speed | Computer Repair I highly recommed clean out spyware and regcleaner or crapcleaner. For you maybe you should get the DDT and DDL pack it's well worth 4.72 if you have decoder hehe. You may need reinstalled your software first then drivers second.

Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

hi,
it seems with the latest x-fi pack 6.55 full has some setup problems...
only the driver will be installed...and all other apps i have to do manually
i have apps manually installed..but thxcon reports an problem at the end.
the message is "Fehler I-001"

and i have no dts menus. under xp there are all options? i thought creative allows now again dts under vista?
and i have read this card is build for vista??
My system is Vista64 and a "Creative X-Fi Xtreme Music UAA" SB0722 with this Chip "CA20K1", This is "NO" oem ware, i have bought this as retail, and original driver CD from Creative, nothing with dell or alienware or i.e - PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0005&SUBSYS_60071102
i hope you can help me...your drivers sounds great

/PS: today by my friend i have installed your drivers with a normal "Creative X-Fi Xtreme Music"...under Vista32, ok same setup problems...but dts options are available??? but why here and not with UAA, that is special for Vista?????

Hi thanks Don't worry about THX U it's same software from XFI Suite that I have no need to installed I don't think it's likes creative installer. I think you may have to buy the DTS and DDL Pack it's cheap

Hi Robert, I got a good question for you. I'm rebuilding a Vaio desktop and am looking at getting a X-Fi Titanium PCI-e from eBay for it. Most of the ones within my price range are missing the installation cd. Do you have a total package I could use to install with? This PC will be using Vista 32-bit. And she's loaded, even has Blu-Ray which I will be using a lot for watching movies, so sound quality and options is always a must.

Those packs are for S/PDIF Speakers only, I don't have Digital speakers, I only have analog 5.1 Logitech Z5300e THX.

So just to make sure I understand you correctly I uninstall everything, drivers and software, then install software 1st then drivers next?? which version do you recommend?

I understand you do not have a cd, but is one of the Pax bundles a close thing? You know, similar to what would be on an installation CD, with all of the goodies I would need in Vista for adjusting for games and DVD's? And if so, which one is the best choice right now for a X-Fi Titanium PCI-e card?

What are the Titin people?

And thanks go to your sig, I was almost considering an X-Fi Extreme Audio for the PCI-e slot.

Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

Just a quick reminder to those who may have forgotton that theres a reputation metre underneath each users name, which goes by - Rep Power: .. Currently Robert Mccelland has 73 rep points but surely this guy deserves more for all the work he has put into modding creatives crappy drivers into the fantastic sounding, more thought through - and commonly known as - The Pax drivers. Rob has been here since Jun 02 so that reputation score should be positively higher.

Hit the Yingyang icon under his name to add to his reputation a well deserved higher number.

Thanks.

That's bizarre, FileFront is about the best place for downloads. I got mine there at over 500Kb/s and the download was solid.

Hi Robert,

Do you think you could paste or upload a list of cards (or even hardware IDs) you have supported and what drivers they are connected to? It might help some of us decide which drivers to download

Thanks!

I Want to but not right now Where going get Youp-pax forum here Since other one might be close down for good. I have no clue why it's been down. Once We have Sub forum here instead of this long thread after two years it should help alot people find stuff easy lol.
