Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

I have Audigy SE, Windows XP SP3, and i am trying to install version 6.45.

1. It won`t install THX
2. When system restarts it seems like it is broken driver. In device manager, there is Audigy but with an exclamation mark. There is sound, but i can`t setup bass redirection and stuff like that because...
3. ...When I try to start mixer it says that devcon32.dll has returned an error.

I have SB Live 5.1 installed also, and kX drivers on it, maybe they are making problems, but i really don`t think that`s the reason...Thx for your help.

- 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 9500GS, DVI-I, VGA, HDMI
- No Modem
- 500GB 7200 rpm SATA 3Gb/s hard drive
- LightScribe 16X max. DVD+/-R/RW SuperMulti drive
- 15-in-1 memory card reader, 2 USB, 1394, video, audio

AW: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

Hi Robert, first of all I want to thank you for you hard work. I really appreciate it because Creative support really sucks.

Right now I'm a little confused what is wrong. I'm on Windows XP(32-bit) with SP3 and had downloaded your knew Package named PAX_PCI_XFI_OS_Full_V6.55. My Soundcard is an SB X-Fi Platinum Fatal1ty Champion retail. I have unpacked the packege and started the Setup.exe. But it only installed the driver!? The soundcard is working right now but I miss some applications like THX-Console and Console launcher. When I start for example the setup.exe from the directory THXConU I got an errorcode -6003. The same with setup from AudCon directory. What I'm doing wrong??
The only program I have at the moment is the Audio-Systemcontrol in the Systemcontrolpanel. With your previous release 6.45 I had much more.
How can I get them back? Oh, I forgot to mention that I uninstalled everything from Creative before installing the new 6.55 package and also used Driver Sweeper 2 to remove everything related to Creative.
I also looked at the Sounblaster Support page and found an file named Creative Console Launcher v2.61.09
Should I download this file and install it? Is this release working with your 6.55 package? Also I'm not sure if I need the Alchemy package from your 6.55 release. As far as I know it is only needed for Vista. Is this correct?

Maybe you can explain it to me what I have to do now... That would be really nice...

And thanks again for your really good work!

P.S. I hope it's understandable what I wrote because I'm no native english...

Hi I also have same card as u do but with bay I'm going take out THX U and ALMY I don't think it like creative installer. I guess I start doing drivers tomorrow or Monday hehe. I haven't even watch BG series final yet. As for xtreme audio notebook and windows 7 audigy drivers I work on them tomorrow. Software suite updated I can't get the new drivers work with it I try so many ways it's inpossible to do so.

AW: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

Thanks for your reply. Then I will wait...

Guess I right that you have modified the Creative Console Launcher Web Update??
So I better shouldn't install the Update "CSL_PCAPP_LB_2_61_09.exe" from the Creative Support Site!?

Apart from that I wish you a really nice weekend...
