Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards
Hi,
I am new here. Just got SB X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty PCIe and want to hook up my dolby digital 5.1 optical (xbox 360). I read a post that you need a decoder. How do I get it? Or is it true that platinum series cannot decode DD? I had a X-Fi PCI version that worked well for this purpose but my new setup forced me buy a PCIe card. Thank you in advance. |

From my reaserch so far, it seems like Platinum cards will NOT even recognize dolby digital input. In "creative Audio control Panel" SPDIF I/O tab, it doesn't allow me to select "Dolby Digital/DTS SPDIF In Decode" It is greyed out with "Default" I looked at Creative support site and there are no other encode/decoder drivers for PCI Express X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am looking at page 48 of this forum by gixer1200 for reference. |

Is it possible for you to make my PCI-Express Extreme Audio card to have bass and treble controls and they are accessible from windows audio control panel (XP/Vista)?

No, I don't have the Bay. But, the Bay shouldn't matter. It doesn't even have the optical connections on it.
Just to be sure: You have your PS3 connected to PS3 by optical input on the card, and you can play the sound thru your computer at 5.1? |

Hi Robert.
I have Vista 32 bit and the X-Fi Titanium. Which driver can I use? I downloaded PCIe_PAX_X-Fi_Xtreme_V1.25 but when I start setup.exe there is an error: "Setup is unable to detect a supported product on your system". Thanks for help!! |

Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards
Hi Robert, is there anyway to have working "Dolby Digital/DTS SPDIF-In Decode" under Vista with my XtremeMusic SB0460 and my XtremeGamer Fatal1ty Pro SB046A? I tried both your set (6.15; 6.50; 6.55) and the original Creative. I have the Decoder tab but same as skim12365 my SPDIF I/O tab is greyed out with "Default"; no choice for "Dolby Digital/DTS SPDIF-In Decode" and no sound when I choose "use SPDIF" in PowerDVD or AC3 Filter.
Under XP; it's greyed with "Default" too but "Use SPDIF" is working fine and the sound is beautiful (which mean In decode is working )My friend has a Elite Pro SB0550 and same problem too ![]() Thanks you! Last edited by x24200; Mar 24, 2009 at 07:08 AM. |

Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards
Once again, a quick reminder and a heads up because there are some new goodies in there
.Drivers are mirrored on my RS Account : RapidShare: Easy Filehosting Check regularly and don't worry about the size. I will add my traffic quota to downloads greater than the free user quota in order to make them work for anyone. Check regularly. If Robert gives you a link on Filefront, check the folder, maybe it is there and if not, let me know . Here or on MSN.

Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards
Rob, have you managed to get EAX working in Vista?
I've just installed your latest set - the EAX effects are in the control panel, but none of the 'advanced EQ' effects actually work. The 'environment' ones do however...but they are pointless on the whole! |

Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards
Thanks.
Just to reiterate, I have PCIe Fatal1ty Titainum. I have tried XP(32), Vista 32 and 64 and all of them grey out SPDIF/IO tab at Default. I tried DD Live and DTS drivers and no help. One interesting thing is that when I look at Bit-Matched tab, stereo input via optical is recognized. As soon as I change the Xbox 360 audio setting to DD 5.1, it turns into Unkown or Invalid Signal. The card (or software) just totally blocks out DD signal. I also read Open Letter to Creative Labs. on Creative Forum and maybe there is a solution to this - just not allowed by Creative. If the link works, here it is:Open Letter to Creative Labs. - Sound Blaster - Creative Labs. By the way, if Pax or anyone has a solution, please let me know. It will be greatly appreciated. I also have a PCI version of X-Fi Platinum with front I/O panel and it works great with optical in. I just upgraded to ASUS P6T with HD4870 and I cannot use a PCI card. I guess I can buy Z-5500 but I hate to waste money just because Creative dumbed down their best card. Thanks. Last edited by skim12365; Mar 25, 2009 at 03:25 AM. |

Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards
Hi Robert,
You said that new driver sets are nearly ready with new installer (not creative one) and you took out the THX U and Alchemy. 1., Is it possible to install THX U separately after your new driver set is installed? 2., Will you keep posting driver sets and support in this forum or we should use YOUP PAX FORUM Last edited by mayafree; Mar 25, 2009 at 11:54 AM. Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards
Hi,
I've got TV card Winfast TV2000 XP Expert connected to AUX-in on my X-Fi XtremeGamer. My system is WinXP SP3. If I install X-Fi drivers from original CD (ver. 5.12.6.1186 date 2006-05-24) TV card is working ok. When I upgrade to any new PAX or original drivers I can't hear any sound from TV card, but If I record avi file from TV I can hear sound when watching this file. How can I solve this problem? Sorry for my bad english. |
