You see, I've got a Creative X-Fi Xtreme Audio Notebook Card, SB0710 but it doesn't seem to work on my laptop (Vistax32).
When I try to install the original drivers, there's this message that
"the setup is unable to detect the supported product on your system. Please ensure that your product is properly installed before running this setup program. Setup will exit"
When I inserted the card to the Express slot for the first time, it recognizes it as 'PCI standard PCI-to-PCI bridge' and there's no sound.
I've tried some of your drivers but they either don't exist any more or can't be saved or just don't want to run. (I must point out, i didn't use all of the links, just the ones i saw when reading few pages)

Also, there's this thing - my motherboard is damaged, ie it has no sound, that's why i've decided to buy the card, does it mean the card won't work either? (I've used small USB audio cards before and they worked fine)

thanks for any help!!!!!
whats your device ID it may be missing

Type dxdiag in run box then go to sound then it tells you what your ID is and sound card. or you can save your dxdiag and list your sound section.

Yeah, i used to have a few (3 or 4) 5.1 ones but they always worked only for a month or so. Then I bought a 7.1. USB card and it was great for a year but now it broke too so I got this creative one. long story

I'd mean did you check to see if there update for your card software. I don't think XFI CMS would work with audigy.

Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

Hello,

I'm desperately trying to use my all-new Audigy 4 Pro. After various non-working drivers (officials or not, in pack or not) I ran into the "PAX_PCI_Audigy_OS_V6.45".
Installation looked good until the setup wanted to install the THX Console, point where the I-001 Error shows up
Some website advised to look to the Install.log file in "C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information", it contains :
Quote:
[Creative THX Setup Console]
GUID={C229589D-CC1A-43FF-9507-CDED3AB85325}
[THX Setup Console]
Error=I-001 CTShared not found.
Once that error box validated, the THX Console setup stops, so does the PAX setup.
How do I correct this?

Thank you (I really would like to test it in the week-end...)

Hi I took out the THX console from now on because of that. Please used the Pax Audigy suite spring 2009 set that should fix it Plus please used the new audigy 6.50 set

So, which one should I use ?
The "Pax Audigy suite spring 2009 set" or the new "audigy 6.50 set" ?
If both: In what order must I install them?

It really doesn't matter You must installed the drivers from the sutie before you installed software. If you can't installed drivers from the suite then installed 6.50 set.

Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

It seems you have fixed my problem in the other Topic (" Pax Audigy Software Suite Spring Edition 2009") :

As advised I installed (by running "\setup.exe") the official 2.18.0010 (2009-03-23) drivers (SBAX_PCDRV_LB_2_18_0010.exe) after having installed the Suite Spring Edition 2009 drivers ("\Setup.exe") + tools ("\Audigy4\Audio\Setup\setup.exe").

AW: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

Ok, sorry for not reading the complete Thread but can someone point me to the correct driver I need for my "Creative X-Fi Xtreme Audio PCI-Express".

I heard about smth namend: PAX_XFXA_Vista_V2.50.rar but thats not on Roberts Filehost Account. Also Filehost is giving me Problems today as the site only works sometimes and most of the time it doesn't.

So where can I get the latest X-Fi Xtreme Audio for PCI-Express using Vista 32Bit?

Thanks in advance for the help.
