Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

Hi Robert McClelland!
I'm looking for a YouPax Driver for my X-Fi Titanium PCIe on Windows 7 RC1 x64. Is there already a version available? I'd only find the "Windows 7 driver" but is this also for Windows 7 x64?

Installed them. They sound fantastic! I can definitely hear a difference between the new drivers and the old ones.

Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

the only problem I'm currently having is the fact that whenever my speakers have sound coming out of them, for some reason they feed back into my mic and it causes static and whatnot. the mic is far enough away where you shouldn't even be able to recieve sound coming from the speakers and junk, but it's still getting feedback.

Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

What it sounds like is the sound coming out of my speakers is being recorded even though I'm nowhere near the actual speakers with the microphone. My mic has a small attachment on it so you can take the attachment off for laptop use, and I can unplug that and it'll still record whatever sound is coming out of my speakers.

Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

I need help with Audigy 2 ZS OEM.
Card is labeled as SB0350, it look's identical as original Audigy 2 ZS except colored outs(instead of black gold plated on original ZS). Same chip, same DAC, same layout of PCB, everything is as supposed to be.
But both creative and you pah 2009 spring edition drivers recognize this card as creative audigy processor and after rebooth is showed in device manager as SB audgy 2 (WDM) with no ZS sufix.
Sound is OK, application works(except graphic equlizer witch said that this card is not supported) and audio console reports card as Audigy 2 D000.
Here are ID's from hardware manager:

PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0004&SUBSYS_10031102&REV_04
PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0004&SUBSYS_10031102
PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0004&CC_040100
PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0004&CC_0401

I have tried to unpack support.cab file from youpax 2009 drivers pack and modify WebDrv.ini file, changed folowing line from:

[Hardware.Map13]
ID = 00000000, 02200002, 02200003, 02200004, 02200005, 02200006
ProductName = Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS
DefAppPath = \Creative\SBAudigy2ZS
InstallCustomRDF = CTRdf.cab

To:

[Hardware.Map13]
ID = 00000000, 10031102, 02200003, 02200004, 02200005, 02200006
ProductName = Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS
DefAppPath = \Creative\SBAudigy2ZS
InstallCustomRDF = CTRdf.cab

to try to trick driver to install this card as ZS(and it is ZS damn ), but when I pack Common folder back to Support.Cab and run setup.exe it start but says there in no installer file or something and quits. I gess Cab format is different than my packer or something
I tried sam trick as above but put ID in Audigy 4 but same problem is there too.
Any help please?

Did some research on this card, and found that a paper label that says SB0353, mark for Audigy 2 Dell OEM. Same card as these:
http://www.hardwareheaven.com/audio-ge...t-audigy2.html
As I mentioned above, it has same chip,dac's, layout, connenctors....Any way to modd your drivers so I can get Asio 2.0 and rest of the stuf from ZS model?

Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

Hi Rob,

First up, love your work mate. I have an Audigy2 zs running on Win Vista 32 Home Premium. Now the only driver/software package available from Creative is just crap, so I've been using yours for some time. I'm currently using the 6.35 drivers on a 5.1 set of old (but still damn good) Logitech speakers.

And now: On to my questions;
  • I mainly use my rig for gaming and a bit of music listening: Am I better off using the PAX or the Kx drivers?
  • if the answer is the PAX softyware, exactly which version of your drivers should I be using?
  • Is there any supporting software for these drivers so that I can use EAX in PC games?
  • What's this I hear about Audigy 4 software suite being modded in such a way so as to be usable by a Audigy 2ZS card? Can I do it with my card, and if so,were can i get a guide to how it's done?
  • Should I not worry about it all and just bite the bullet and get rid of the creative card and instead use my mobo's HD Realtek system?
thanks in advance

The Dog

Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

Hi Lastest set you should be using is Pax 6.50 set it's base on new beta drivers . Plus audigy 4 pro software is for all audigy cards . it doesn't matter if you want to installed drivers from audigy 4 pro software it's same as Pax audigy 6.50 set. No there no mod for audigy 2 to audigy 4 anyway no way for me doing that.

Can't do that I don't know why files are which for that make happen unless you know? I'm only one person doing the sets. So I don't think there no way do that unless they do that.

Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

Hello Robert, Hello driverheaven community,

I want to use a sound card shipped with a MSI Eclipse+ Board.

It is named Creative X-Fi Treme Audio.

I googled and there is another version of this card, avaiable in Creative Shop. Same name but different look.

This is the Creative version

And this is the MSI Version, I want to use:

I was looking through this thread and find some information of the PCI version of this card. But this is the PCIe version.

The creative driver of this card only supports a very minimalistic Audio console, so I cant activate SPDIF passthrough to view my DVDs in 5.1

Will this be possible with one of your drivers?
SPDIF passthrough is supported by this card, as far as I known.

My OS is WinXP SP3....

I hope you can help me, because you make a awesome job on many driver problems.

Best regards, loopy.

Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

Hello, thanks for your replay

Yes, there are drivers on the MSI Homepage for this soundcard.
Here is the direct Link on the MSI Hompage:
http://download1.msi.com/files/downl...A3_XP_V_MB.zip

The Problem is, that is is not possible so aktivate SPDIF passthrough. I installed the Creative Audioconsole, but no option is available. So i am not able to send the 5.1 signal to my A/V reciever (to watch DVDs and BlueRay).

Can you fix this and make this possible?

Thank you so much

Re: Vista and XP Driver Support for Audigy, Xtreme Audio, and Xfi cards

Hey, I have a problem that might have been answered here already, but this thread is bigger than China so I gave up.

I have the X-fi elite pro card, and I'm trying to hook my ps3 up with the ext mod, but neither spdif nor aux works in Vista. It works without any problems in XP and Ubuntu, but I need it to work in vista as well.

I saw some other fellow here that had the same exact problem, but he stopped posting and never really got a solution as far as I could see.

Am I screwed? Or is this solvable? Do you have any drivers touching this problem, and if so which one?

I'm sorry for being selfish and only signing up here to get answers without having anything to give back. I guess I'm just desperate haha.
Cheers,

-Henriku
