Re: PAX PCIE X-Fi Titanium OS V1.15

Hi and thx for the driver

Is it possible to install the Suite OS Spring 2009 (without installing the included Driver) with this titanium driver?
I mean, just the software from the suites and this driver.

I want to have the latest apps for the x-fi, thats why i ask.

Re: PAX PCIE X-Fi Titanium OS V1.15

Hello, I've gotten PAX PCIE X-FI Titanium OS V1.15 to install just fine using Vista X64 Ultimate.

My orig problem with creative drivers were as follows - Crackle/pop while playing Video playback every 2-3 minutes using 6 channel direct sound ONLY (3 audio cables from my sound card). Playback of other audio and tests seemed to work fine (Optical spdif connection played video files without crackle from the start). (Video Codec pack K-Lite Video Codec Standard)

After uninstalling my creative drivers in safe mode, I installed the PAX PCIE set of drivers. Confirmed driver install by PAX icon displayed under sound controller in speaker properties.

I then went to the CD that came with my creative card. Selected first option (add software) Added software and installed the DTS/Live support for the sound card and alchemy from the origional creative CD - then rebooted. This worked perfectly, without me having to goto creative labs and paying an additional fee for the DTS pack.

I'm now testing this out over many video files with each (3 channel and Optical) without issues so far.

Re: PAX PCIE X-Fi Titanium OS V1.15

The Icon was great, it's the quickest visual way for a user to tell the driver install was successful and that PAX driver set was there. Everything else just says "creative"

So I'd recommend keeping the icon.

At first it was very hard for me to figure out what pack I could install for my Vista Machine / XF-I combo. But after a few hours of finding this place, and much reading.

Re: PAX PCIE X-Fi Titanium OS V1.15

Ok so you can you tell there more BASS in my sets then Creative stock drivers? I don't have PCI E mortherboard and PAX PCIE X-Fi Titanium card so it's hard for me tell if those settings works on it .

Re: PAX PCIE X-Fi Titanium OS V1.15

It does have more bass from default from what I can tell. I know you ask this a lot from people, do you already have an example list of questions/tests I should run to give you proper feedback? I disable EAX most of the time.

Do you just trust the users opinion? Fixed static/popping and other features of the card CMSS-3d and crystalizer now function properly as well (creative set would decrease sound quality while enabled) I often use multiple sound sources, TV/xbox360 and watch a video and there are no issues there as well.

So far the issues I've had with feedback through my speakers after installing your set has been fixed. So as thanks, whatever tasks you have short of me reinstalling my OS I'm all for trying out. (I've got work to do during the day and already suffered weeks of down time building this machine).

Re: PAX PCIE X-Fi Titanium OS V1.15

The Titanium PCIE drivers fixed my biggest problem. I had to disable DDL and DTS in between almost every application to keep the sound from crackling. I tried every other driver including the Daniel K. Support Pack 1.1.
The PAX PCI E XFTI OS V1.15 are awesome!!!!1 I am so happy. I found these drivers at guru3d.
