Thanks for the update Rob. =) Using 64bit windows 7 and a x-fi music - the installation was a breeze and it's all working flawlessly. I usually uninstall the old drivers using driver sweeper in safe mode before installing new ones, though in this case I simply installed on top yet I've experienced no problems so far. I've tested all 3 modes using different speaker combinations without any unheard of issues. I was wondering what differences are there between 1.15 and 1.20 ?? I can't tell apart from that the treble seems to be more sharper.. A little too sharp if there's any peak spiking thus I'm having to keep the wave level down and use the Creative volume knob to turn the volume up. But overall the sound quality seems just about the same as the v1.15's..

it's base on new beta drivers

old 1.15 base on first beta drivers these are new second one. So is treble to much then? I can tone down some. I did driffter settings then xp version hehe.

I've got major crashes problems with official beta drivers SBXF_W7DRVBETA_US_2_18_00013 from creative. System instability, broke my Intel ICH9R Raid Array, reinstall everything, reinstall drivers another issue, windows revert back to system restore it did before drivers installation... Currently I've not installed any driver (no sound at all) and my system works flawlessy. Are these modified drivers for me or they may damage my system again? I've read they're based on 2.18.00013 too...

they should work better then creative set let me know

. Make sure you do backup your stuff though no one else have any complains yet from my sets.

I'll try them tonight, when I'll back home (now I'm at work). By the way, yesterday I've installed Daniel_K pack 1.1 and they seem to work. Do I have to unistall it or can I install your set on top?

You always uninstalled from device manager then reboot then used cleaner then reboot Then installed mine then reinstalled launcher and volume nob then installed driver then reboot at end and enjoy!

Ya you can used the currect Pax XFI Software suite on win 7 don't installed the drivers for it.

Hi! I've question... is possible to unlock dolby digital /dts tabs in this driver? I have X-fi Elite Pro with blocked function. In XP with your drivers i had DD/DTS encode by SPDIF and i could link my XBOX 360.

I don't have anything:/ My Elite Pro is newer edition and creative give for it only software decode (Power DVD). But in your changed win xp drivers i had it. Here you have descreption of latest driver on creative site

"Dolby® Digital and DTS® decode re-established for sound cards that included decoding in their Windows XP drivers (Not applicable for products that included a 3rd party software DVD player license in the package)"

Maybe you can unlock it somehow

I have normal analog connection from card to 5.1 speakers (three wires orange green black) and i have my x360 connected with I/O console (optical in) by optical wire.

Who knows there drifter creative cards doesn't support the decorder part if you used the encoder part your fine it works fine threw my ps3 on my p7800 7.1 90watt speakers hehe

I don't understand how can you enjoy DD sound from PS3 without built-in decoder. DD/DTS Live Connection Pack only allows digital connection from PC to home theater system and the like. For that you use SDIF-OUT!? To get DD you must "take" sound from console to PC not inversely.

Well on my xfi champ I have the Bay drive hook up to my sound card it works with or with out the decorder or even with encorder but I like using anyways for my ps3 get best sound hehe.

Hi, im using 64bit windows 7 build 7201 and a pci x-fi extrememusic, after install this driver i have a lot of prop and cracks, is a shame because in windows xp 64bit this driver is the best. I hope next version these problems are resolved.

Edit-im review another posts and could be for tha mobo, or 4gb mem, nforce chip, well, a lot of variables.

My conf is:

-MB BIOSTAR TF560 A2+
-4gb ddr800
-Chipset nforce 560

maybe help know this.
