I suspect this driver set is a fake

No offence, but I suspected, that this mod is a big fake.

Maybe some application-level fixes are present, but promised driver-level fixes are fake:

The main installation INF (wdma_emu.inf) contains section below, but this section is not invoked.
And NO ONE of those parameters are present inside any of .sys files , they are useless! But they are there to fool people.

Look at this silly parameter's names inside \wdm\wdma_emu.inf:

Um It's not fake Mate It really does help out Bass and Treble. Thats why I posted tweaks there. Yoru welcome try my sets out to find out your self. Look at Audigy v1.10 thread those tweaks do help much cleaner sound out. If you don't want used my drivers then don't bug me here go some where else thankyou and No flaming.

i have test the drivers and wanan tell you that the drivers from rob are real it is your choice that you belive or not i have creative audigy 2 zs platinum pro and win xp x64 and only the rob drivers are 100% better then everything else ....

While I agree that the entirety of the "tweaks" in the INF file are fake (like wtf is the point of setting FPS to 30%? It's pretty clear it's the imperfect English Rob posts with), what I do know is that there is a difference between the ones posted here and the stock Creative set.

Perhaps the whole thing is merely placebo effect, who knows? Maybe it's just a half-assed equalizer change to make the equalizer believe a +3 setting is actually 0.

I cannot tell you if the sound is "better". I cannot tell you if I get a 5% increase in FPS (highly doubtful and even so, 1-5% is within the error margin of benchmarking so the difference is negligible). What I can tell you is that with the stock Creative driver set, the subwoofer I run is dead silent regardless of what I am doing and is only very slightly active if I enable bass redirection. With the driver sets posted here, my subwoofer is doing something. Sure, inflated bass is probably less than ideal if you're listening to classical music or jazz, but let's be honest. Most of us use our computers for playing games and there is satisfaction from having the thump of your subwoofer when you blow shit up. I cannot get that from Creative's set unless I go around and screw with settings. I get that stock with the YouP sets.

On top of that, with Creative's set, I have a problem where my sound output will randomly shift 1 speaker to the left. My left front channel gets redirected to my left rear, my right sound channel comes out of my center speaker, my center channel disappears (I assume it goes to my subwoofer). I have yet to figure out how to fix that problem and the only thing I can do is restart my computer to get it back to normal. That is annoying. I do not have the problem with YouP drivers.

If you're looking for a double blind listening test of your favorite obscure jazz piece from 1937, then you're on the wrong forums.

I cannot post you 9000 graphs and screenshots of sound analysis programs that show you one way or another. However, for me and a friend of mine who I had download the driver, we feel they are better.

TL;DR version - INF settings are absolutely fake down to Rob's broken english. But the set sounds better imo than stock Creative.

i don't understand nothing in program language but i'm an hi-fi man and has a sennheiser 6 series and some serious stuff and the rob drivers sound a lot better i don't care about what is he do it but i like how my headphones sound and i can make a differense between the org and these drivers...

Well if you think settings are off on spelling I could used a hand in it then mate.

There just there thats all what ever they work on your sound card or not. Most time they work on most people sounds cards thats where extra Bass and Trelbe come from. Please PM me if you got ideas make the tweak work better or correct way. I'm not that smart lol. I'm still trying find right reg string to make them work right if you got idea people let me know

Hang on - whats with the attitude? if you are such a condescending smart ass then why not start your own driver sets on your own forum section.

Its all very well getting across a point on a forum but there is absolutely no need to be so hostile and insulting to a person, who has earned a great reputation on these forums. I know Driverheaven don't offically 'back' Rob but they offer him some forum space because these drivers are so popular and have helped a lot of people to get different sound balances from their configurations.

I am all for honesty and for perhaps even asking what these are doing, but at least present your points without sounding like a total butthead.

Run it yourself. It takes like 10 minutes max. And at the end of the day, if nothing is changed, then you'll still have the standard drivers. And if something is changed, then all the better.

You can go give an e-blowjob to Daniel_k on the Creative forums if you want considering the argument you're using is the same as his with the same overarching hostility.

In conclusion, who the %#@% cares? If they work for you, as they do for me, then great. If they don't, so what? You're not being charged for them and as you say, they're the same as Creative drivers.

I don't appreciate seeing such hostile opening posts in a thread. I am closing this as it is getting a little silly. If people have questions about driver sets or have issues or need help, great - post here. However if people come here to instigate some kind of soap opera drama they will be removed.
