I do not want to download the 1.30 because I play the games that there are complaints about static. That would make the problem worse, not better.

hmm u sure Friend mine test in games they sound great. Just try it Kelston you always welcome lower bass your self by 5% in WDM INF in WDM Folder.

I just installed it and it crackles in WoW. Lowering bass didn't do anything, I reverted back.

I appreciate your effort dude. I can only get your drivers to work in windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.

My elite pro has always had issue with vista and win7. Only recently I've been able to get this sound card to work without any BSOD hitting me.

 I never had the scratchy sound issue but I can't have any of the bells and whistles working.

 Installing your program with admin rights, using xp or vista compatibilities still has no effect other than telling me the hardware can't be found. Only the drivers are working and yours so far is the best yet.
I even tried safe mode. I've used game mod and 5.1 speaker choices during the setup.
Example error,

 CTSpkWzd,

 “Your audio device cannot be detected. This application will now close.”

 Or,
Creative Diagnostics,
“The audio device supported by this application may not be present or may be operating in an unsupported mode. You need to close the application.”

 I've removed the registry and directories, between each trial install.

System specs,
Processor: Intel Core2 Quad CPU Q9550 @ 2.83GHz (4 CPUs)
Memory: Corsair 4096MB RAM
Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 750GB
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280
Monitor: LG Flatron Wide L204WT
Sound Card: Creative SB X-Fi Elite Pro Retail / SB X-Fi Extreme Music OEM removed.
Speakers : Logitech Z-640
Keyboard: Logitech G-15
Mouse: Logitech MX-518 Optical Gaming Mouse
Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
Motherboard: nForce 790i Mobo board
Computer Case: Dell XPS 730 Modified

 I replaced the extreme music with my older elite pro. Both cards work flawless in my older rig and in XP but not in vista or win7. 64Bit or 32bit. Doesn't make a difference. I'm wondering if creative purposely did this...?

Try disable your sound card next time you installed New software suite with updated tweaks comming out soon. Like in hour or so.

Do I need to remove my elite pro. Then install the new suite? will the new suite have the newer drivers sets? Or will I have to install the drivers after ontop of it?

Yes you need to Uninstalled then run driver cleaner or sweaper then reboot then run reg fixer program then installed suite or driver set which one comes to you first.

I've removed the X-Fi elite pro from my rig.

I've clean all files, registry and folder related to creative stuff.

I've tried to install your drivers without the card in the rig and it won't continue.

Error,

Setup is unable to detect a supported product on your system. Blaw blaw blaw...

I'll try reinstalling my pci card and see if it works.. But I did this before and I have a hunch it won't work...

I hope I'm wrong...

***Update...

No change.. Suite pack extra software doesn't work.. Like before It can't find the hard ware... The driver by themselves work but none of the other stuff.

bummer.. This sucks... I know its not your fault. Daniel stuff too is the same.. I think its creative who might be blocking this somehow?

It doesn't make any sense..

I guess I will have to live with this till someone cracks creative lab codes.

I'll never buy another creative product.. Too much headaches for there system to work...

Do u happen to be running an Ati graphics card? Reason I ask is that im using a radeon 4980 which has its own hdmi sound output.. which may be conflicting.

Drivers are working McClelland, Its the Creative programs that aren't seeing the hardware. I can play surround sound music, vids and games. But I can only edit them in the basic windows7 settings. Creative applications don't see it.. Don't know why.

I'll wait till your next release.

No offence robert. I don't favor people tampering with my rig. I'll figure it out sooner or later..
