For the life of me, I can't get my X-Fi XtremeMusic PCI to work on XP 32-bit. This is the only OS I have, so I can't try others, but no matter what I still get "MULTIMEDIA AUDIO CONTROLLER" in device manager with the yellow icon.
I tried XFI_SupportPack_2_0.exe (from elsewhere, some ppl liked this one) I tried PAX PCI XFI All-OS-Driver V1.35.exe (from here) I tried SBXF_PCDRV_LB_2_18_0013.exe (from SB themselves) I uninstalled onboard audio (soundmax), then went into safemode and ran drivercleaner pro on soundmax, then disabled onboard audio in bios. I then loaded windows and tried all of the files mentioned above. Only the PAX driver pack will install. The other 2 tell me that a supported hardware wasn't found. Here is my setup (it's my spare rig):

Did you try V1.40 driver mate it's out this thread old
