i have installed the fall suite 2009 and driver V1.30A for my xtremeGamer card on winXP sp3. Now i want to install the Special Software Suite Winter 2009 and driver V1.35. Do i have to uninstall all the older ones (the suite and the driver)?

I'm sorry but confront a problem.
I extracted the X-Fi All OS Software Suite Winter 2009 after downloading and try to install it. However, when I executed the CTRun\start.exe, it just show a white small windows in the screen but had no actions. So I can only install it by executed Audio\Setup\setup.exe I want to know is this a right installing way? I executed CTRun\start.exe because it is specified in the root\autorun.inf, but it seems not work. Thanks a lot. |

Hi Will You on XP or vista or win 7? If you on Vista or Win 7 you welcome try Special edtion software suite you can click on main exe. But if you on XP you can used older one you have to go audio then setup then setup.exe

ct start never work. You hane to go to audio then serup then click on setup.exe

got a problem after some testing...have following issue on Win 7 64 bit Beta and also on RTM version
When I install Winter Pax Edition it installs all the software but not the Driver when I install before - or after the "suite" the 1.10 drivers from the standalone package I have the sound and windows recognizes it properly but! the creative/PAX Software doesnt ...what should i do? tried the same with the original creative beta drivers but your modified software doesnt recognize it Oo |

AMP Did you try Special edtion of the suite? It's newer installer built for vista and win 7. If you need Help AMP I can hook you up with crossloop program it's free. And I can see whats going on at your end so I get better idea on it.

I tried this special version for win7 too
or what do u mean? maybe its a problem that I have Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium (PCI-E) ? or maybe u have this updated version just for PCI only cards? btw are you german? cause everywhere stands Treiber  regards Amphibia |

first thank you for the great driver... but i have some problem with the driver... my system : XP SP3, AMD 945, ASUS M4A78-E, 4GB Ram, Asus 4890. my problem : 1. PAX PCI Audigy All-OS-Driver V1.20 = Setup is unable to detect a supported product on your system. Please ensure that your product is properly install before running thsi Setup program. Setup will exit. 2. PAX PCI XFI All-OS-Driver V1.25 A and PAX PCI XFI All-OS-Driver V1.35 no sound after install the driver, and after restart, got a "SB X-Fi Audio" in "Sound and Audio Devices Properties" , but the volume is "grey out" .. and system no sound... No problem with PAX_PCI_XFI_All-OS-Driver_V1.15 and PAX X-FI OS Driver V6.60 ... and now i using Pax X-Fi All OS Special Software Suite Winter 2009 + PAX_PCI_XFI_All-OS-Driver_V1.15 driver... (i use Acronis TrueImage to recover my system to a clean XP everytime i test install all the driver.) and this is my sound card id: OEM Creative SB046A= X-Fi Fatal1ty Gamer PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0005&SUBSYS_002C1102&REV_00 PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0005&SUBSYS_002C1102 PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0005&CC_040100 PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0005&CC_0401 thanks... Update (25Nov) : the driver are working fine! after many try ... and now working fine... b4 that , i always install the software suite first , then reboot and follow by the driver, but is give me problem.. and now i install the driver dirst then roboot and follow by the software suite (without the driver).. Hi Rob.
I've tried the special suite winter 2009 with driver v1.35 and i have a problem. When use winamp to play mp3 files, i hear a strange sound after end of each song. I recorded such sound and you can hear at: problem record.mp3.mp3. Could you help me to solve out this problem. My card is xtremegamer and i use winxp sp3. Best regard |

Hi Robert,
Good work on the drivers but I am having a problem. I cannot get 1.25 for Audigy to work on Windows 7 64bit. 1.20 installs fine but when I uninstall, clean existing drivers with driver sweeper in safe mode, reboot and install the 1.25, it looks like it is installing everything and asks me to reboot, but upon reboot the audio device is unavailable to me. Uninstall, clean up and reinstall 1.20 and it works fine. What do you think is wrong? |

I don't know how to uninstall the wdma_emu.inf, so i copy your new one to program files\creative\soundblaster xfi\program\wdm and overwirte the old one, restart the computer, then right click the file and choose install. But the problem is still there. Best regard |

No you replace the inf into main driver folder that you download. Then uninstalled drivers and reinstalled them using new inf from driver set. You welcome contact me on my messegers there in my profile if you need help.

Yeah, you have to extract the downloaded driver, copy the new/fixed .inf into the folder (if Robert says "main-folder", then "main-folder") and overwrite the old one. Then you start the installer/setup from the extracted driver you have changed the .inf file in.

Thanhks. My problem has been sorted out. By the way, I've tried some mp3 files with Rob's special winter suite and driver 1.35 and felt that the bass is not crisp and punch enough, low tone seems a bit blurry.

HI NGO you think you need your tones higher then? for bass? You know you can change the % in the inf by the NT Installed section thats where they are at. Your welcome try rasie to see if they help you better people have driffter taste how much bass they want I always can't make them all happy. But make sure you save the inf after you change the settiings yes you have do each driver uninstalled and reinstalled to test the % of 2 each time you go up.

Everone I think I know why and what happen some how I had my read only box check threw out my new windows 7 system and didn't take changes into effect in the suites thats why there was errors lol. I refix everthing next week when I get a chance.
. Double check your read only files box uncheck that way you guys can save your files better.

Im reinstalling windows 7 as I ran into lots of problems, my own fault for not backing up. Nothing wrong with v1.35 drivers. Whats the benefit of installing the special suite? Does it come with 1.40 drivers? Thanks Rob. |
