Don't worry Audigy users your set comes out tomorrow afternoon I need some feed back before I less out other forums need you people test for me. As prelude driver people I fix CMSS headphone issue it works now. How can this be? I took file from creative and put into prelude driver test and put driver test back in to my set and it works that way. So now it's fix I release that version tomorrow

P.S. Im new here, I was just wondering if your drivers do the same as the Daniel_k drivers? as i have the crackling issue thanks to Creative.

also i was wondering if you could shed some light on what soundcards to go for as I always thought Creative were the best (probably due to branding and advertising) but whats a good alternative? (or is the alternative creative with your drivers?)

No to get software you muss download one my software suites . I be releasing that shortly. Your welcome to try the driver out if want too. As for audigy users you need test my new audigy driver soon. I need feedback before releasing out other 3 forums. I will be uploading shortly.

PS drivers are in the suite has preview of PCI XFI All OS v1.40 set Sorry XP users your welcome try to installed the drivers but I can't get them work with new suite. Drives only works on Vista and Win 7. XP users you must used V1.35 for now.

Hello and thank you for your efforts in making these driver tweaks. I have a few questions on what the drivers actually do:

I own an external USB X-Fi card. Will your software enable DDL/DTS output (on-the-fly encoding, not just pass-through) using the optical-out so I can have full 5.1 surround going to my receiver with just 1 cable?

Also, I'm looking at upgrading my motherboard to an ASUS Rampage II GENE that uses a SoundMAX SupremeFX X-Fi built-in sound chip. Since it is using an X-Fi chip would it be as simple as adding a few lines to your .INF files to add support for it? I cannot find much information on this sound chip but I'm guessing it would work simlarly to the Auzen Prelude X-Fi. It would be wonderful if I could enable Dolby Digital Live 5.1 output through the on-board optical port by using your tweaked drivers and not have to use up a PCIe slot with an add-on sound card.

I believe that Creative has really dropped the ball when it comes to DDL/DTS Connect support. In theory any X-Fi card should be able to encode 5.1 output through S/PDIF yet they have disabled this feature on many of their products for licensing reasons. Instead they offer the DDL/DTS Connect pack for $5 but the software only supports a few cards and IT'S NOT EVEN AVAILABLE for purchase online anymore! I go to their online store and add the software to my cart but there is no check-out option! So I resorted to downloading the software from a torrent only to find that MY USB X-FI CARD IS NOT SUPPORTED! LOL sorry for the rant.

Hi Drozd if you have Decorder on your usb sound card it should go spdif with optical out to your receiver.

Sorry for posting in the other thread. I'll report here along with your quote and a response.

For the life of me, I can't get my X-Fi XtremeMusic PCI to work on XP 32-bit. This is the only OS I have, so I can't try others, but no matter what I still get "MULTIMEDIA AUDIO CONTROLLER" in device manager with the yellow icon.

I tried XFI_SupportPack_2_0.exe (from elsewhere, some ppl liked this one)
I tried PAX PCI XFI All-OS-Driver V1.35.exe (from here)
I tried SBXF_PCDRV_LB_2_18_0013.exe (from SB themselves)

I uninstalled onboard audio (soundmax), then went into safemode and ran drivercleaner pro on soundmax, then disabled onboard audio in bios. I then loaded windows and tried all of the files mentioned above.

Only the PAX driver pack will install. The other 2 tell me that a supported hardware wasn't found. This is the exact message I get when trying to install (just not with PAX).

Setup is unable to detect a supported product on your system. Please ensure that your product is properly installed before running this Setup program.


Setup will exit.

Here is my setup (it's my spare rig):

• ASUS M2N-SLI DELUXE
• Athlon BE-2400 @ 2.95ghz
• ASUS 9600GSO 384mb
• 36GB Raptor
• 2GB DDR2
• Windows XP Pro SP3
• Soundblaster X-Fi XtremeMusic

What I've tried:

• Reseating card
• Trying a different PCI slot (tried 2)
• Tried 3 different drivers:
  1. PAX - this here PAX PCI XFI All-OS-Driver V1.35(Driver Only)
  2. XFI_SupportPack_2_0.exe (gave me the error in quote above)
  3. SBXF_PCDRV_LB_2_18_0013.exe (official from creative website - this also gave me the error in the quote above)

And Robert, to answer your question:
Did you try V1.40 driver

Now my concern is... how will I know the card is dead or not?
As for device ID, I would have had to get that info from where, device manager?

Did you try disable your sound card installed that way? Do you have another PC? Do you have your Device ID threw Device Manager? So I can check I maybe I have your id or not. Ya your card could be dead.

I might test it in another PC, but may not have the chance for a few days.

What did you mean about did I try to disable my sound card installed that way?

I had a problem where Soundmax wouldn't uninstall, but I was finally able to uninstall it (it didn't let me uninstall the onboard audio driver/software if it was disabled in BIOS, so I enabled, uninstalled, then ran driver cleaner, then tried messing with my X-Fi card).

I'll report back hopefully soon... Thanks for trying. I have a feeling the card could be dead, though.

Ya right click on device manager on your sound card to disable it and then try reinstalled drivers. Where there yellow caution mark.

Now I wanted to install the software separately. But when I run setup.exe from the root folder it wants to uninstall the freshly installed 1.30 drivers. Can I avoid that and just install the software?

I just installed these and i still have the crackling and popping i had when i used the standard creative drivers.

Please can you advise? how can i be certain that it is using your drivers and not the creative ones?

I did uninstall the creative software and the drivers throught the device manager.

ya just go custom serup choice all but uncheck drivers. You should ran driver that way you getfull effect of update tweaks.

Yeah but the setup doesn't let me choose, because it wants to uninstall the driver again. If I click cancel the complete setup cancels not only the driver setup.

Hi Ya you can check looking for my logo in Sound proprieties you should see PAX logo.

Fix reboot issue still working on the issue. on audigy you don't have uninstalled while ask you too. Just do old way Uninstalled from Device Manager then run cleaner then reboot then installed.

Ya it's Nforce board issue with creative cards you always get snap crackle and pop there nothing I can do You may want email support to nforce people and creative get the issue fix.
